ROBERT BORK CALLS THE HARRIET MIERS NOMINATION "A DISASTER" ON TONIGHT'S "THE SITUATION WITH TUCKER CARLSON"
SECAUCUS, NJ - October 7, 2005 - Tonight on MSNBC's "The Situation with Tucker Carlson," former judge and Supreme Court nominee Robert Bork tells Tucker Carlson the Harriet Miers' nomination is "a disaster on every level," that Miers has "no experience with constitutional law whatever" and that the nomination is a "slap in the face" to conservatives.
Following is a transcript of the conversation, which will telecast tonight at 11 p.m. (ET). A full transcript of the show will be available later tonight at www.tv.msnbc.com. "The Situation with Tucker Carlson" telecasts Monday through Friday at 11 p.m. (ET).

It's very reassuring to see the esteemed Judge Bork is on board with the thoughtomator school of constitutional jurisprudence =)

I've been waiting for the big guy to chime in on this one. Now we know.
And all the lock step Bushies will now bash Bork along with the rest.
You don't have to support Bush when he makes a mistake. I voted for him twice and sent $400 between 2000 and 2004.
A mistake is a mistake. Miers is NOT a constitutional scholar.
If Bork had really wanted to roll Miers under the bus, he should have came out in support of her.
I am sick to death of lawyers and judges having to run everything (even though Mires falls into that category).
I would be even happier if she wasn't even a lawyer!
She is going to be just fine. I trust GWB judgment on her.
I think we are seeing a slight tinge of "elitism" with regard to many on the right that are opposing her. The "she doesn't measure up" line is complete BS -

Yes! Bork is with us (undefined us) too! Bush needs to know he cannot ignore, us right or wrong. We are HIS BASE.
It's not so much whether she measures up as whether there is anything to measure.
I have.
Bwahahahahaa...
Obviously, not the answer Bush was hoping to hear.
The operative word being "might".
Given a choice between a justice who understands that the RTKABA is an indivdual right and one who peers into the penumbra of Saturn and hems and haws about it, I'll take the first one. That means Miers over Bork.
That has some worried that are against Miers.
I guess you'd want a brain surgeon who wasn't even a doctor!!
Where did you get this transcript? The Situation 10/7 transcript isn't up yet, and Bork isn't on the transcript for 10/6.
