This is a serious issue and the WP is seeking to inoculate the Hildabeast from this issue before the 08' election. Their going to take the lead on it and the story will be told and timed in a way to mitigate it's effect.
Mark my words.

"Well can't help but wonder if there is not a "liberal" intense dislike of Hillry by some in DC."
There are some on the Left - such as Christopher Hitchens - who detest the Clintons and who might like to derail a potential Hillary-for-President attempt.

Chelsea was used by her parents to convince me that her father was excited about working with me and my partner spider man creator stan lee, when bill left the white house. After sitting next to Chelsea and her father for three hours at the concert part of the Hollywood Gala I underwrote, and after offering Chelsea a job to write a blog for our entertainment hub at stanlee.net, Chelsea came up to my wife, myself and my Japanese business partner (who was illegally smuggled into Hillary's fundraiser) at the brunch the following day at Barbara Streisand's house. Chelsea spent more than 45 minutes with us telling us how she and her parents stayed up and played scrabble after they left me at the Gala dinner at 2:30am, and they talked about Bill working with me in Hollywood. It was a calculated effort to convince me we were on track in our business deal, confirmed to me by Bill while he sat with me from 11:30 pm to 2:30 am at the VIP dinner I hosted after the concert.
Chelsea also witnessed her mother introduce my wife to Barbara Streisand as the wife of the man who underwrote her fundraising gala the nite before - all of which makes Chelsea a material witness for my civil suit about how the Clintons conspired to make me Hillary's largest contributor and then lie about it.

As disccused in the article, Peter isn't quite sure why they are doing it. Getting it out of the way so she can call it old news?Perhaps, the whole DeLay "scandal" is being used as flack so they can cover for Mrs.Clinton? After all, it's politics, everyone does this stuff, and it's so complicated.
If even Hillary MADE MISTAKES - it must be extremely complex.

Good work, Doug.
Up to now, it certainly has been true that Nothing Bad Can Happen to Bill or Hillary.
I doubt whether either of them will ever get the jail time they deserve for their multiple felonies, but it could be that at some point the Democratic establishment will turn against them. The clintons continue to stand in the limelight and suck up publicity, putting every other Democrat into the shade. As long as they continue active, no one else has a chance. Maybe at some point the worms will turn, and decide to nail them, just to get them out of the way.
Hillary certainly has done that to a lot of Democrats. She was almost singlehandedly behind the newspaper articles that wrecked Dean when he was riding high in the 2004 campaign in Iowa. It wasn't conservative newspapers that brought down Dean, it was the MSM, at hillary's bidding I'm fairly sure. Now maybe they will bring her down.

Does Teddy really want Hillary on trial? That would mean that his wife's brother is once again going to court. Nothing new for the Reggie family, however.
I was wondering...where is Ray Reggie these days? He's not in jail, right? What's he up to? Is he in New Orleans? Did the Clintons meet with him when they went down to New Orleans right after the flood?

A documentary entitled INDICTING HILLARY will be ignored by the Stone Age Press. It will be panned by the reviewers. It will be deflected as just more from the VRWC. Here's hoping the filmmakers change the title to something less incendiary, such as MILLENNIUM GODDESS.

Don't be so mean spirited.
This was so 2000.

Sadly... she'll skate. The Clintons are masters at making themselves look like the victims. Her popularity in the US Senate race against Lazio went sky high after she and the media complained about Lazio being aggressively close to her on the platform.

True about Hitchens, but I was thinking more political, such as Biden, JFKerry, and Howie Dean. Biden and JFKerry are long time WDC insiders and Hillry is the new chick on the block.

I always believed the same thing. Behind the scenes, Hillary did not want anyone to get to far out in front in 2004 so it would keep her options open. If no one had enough delegates, she could have been named the nominee at the convention. Just think -- she would not have spent any of her money, the other candidates would not have said anything nasty about her for a soundbite, and she would only have to run a very short campaign.

The Washington Post has been making a real effort to take the "Newspaper of Record" title away from the NY Times. The Time's complete and open co-operation with the Democrats and the left has left an opening for the Post to do just that.
Part of the strategy is for the Post to show that it will print important stories, no matter whose ox is gored. Who better than Hillary! as an example to demonstrate that? This may be about the newspaper business, not politics; the Post sees the Times ruining its journalistic reputation with partisanship and doesn't want to go that way.
The people running the Post may actually value their newspaper's reputation and success above their own politics.

It really is curious why they would do this story now when it has not been in the news since the Rosen acquittal. Pardon my cynicism, but I believe this to be part of an orchestrated program by the MSM, along with the "Commander in Chief" series, to advance Hilary's candidacy. This article will most likely be a vehicle to get this info out, with HIlary's excuses highlighted and everything else discounted as "old news". Also, with all the mud being slung at the Bush administration and DeLay as being corrupt, there will be a suggestion that the Republicans are much worse than she.
I will gladly eat my hat if there is anything detrimental to Hilary in the Compost's story.

This is a civil trial. The Clintons will not end up in Gitmo. They'll squeal harder if they get hit in the pocketbook! I do hope this slimes hillary but good - I continue to pray that God will stop her candidacy.

You can oly live a lie so long. Even the Washington Post knows Rush is right when he says that the Clintons are the singular reason for the decline and fall of the CommuDem party. Maybe the ride is just about over. Perhaps some CommuDems have had their fill of these two clowns! You never know!

Will we ever hear the Reggie tapes that were not used in the Rosen trial? You know, the trial that was the legal equivalent of the BlackSox scandal of 1919.
