Calm down Dane. What, no sense of humor?

The more I hear about the lady the more I like her. I want to see how she handles herself at the hearings before I pass judgment.

Bet one of them is not Laurence Tribe's Constitutional Law. Well over a thousand pages of liberal extrapolation. Must weigh twenty pounds. She can use it as a foot rest while she's trying to remember if there are 6 articles or if there are 7.

Farmers were the builders and architects of our country. Lawyers run it now. How far away from the Constitution have we gotten?Worth repeating!...again!

I for one wish that you would give it a rest until the hearings. I am afraid that you are going to have a hear attack or stroke.

"Miers Said to Be Unfazed by Criticism"Now, why should that not surprise us?
People of strong character and purpose seldom are "fazed" by the darts and arrows of others.
There are many wise, knowledgeable citizens out here in the heartland who know that it neither takes an Ivy League graduate nor a judge to be devoted to the Founders' Constitution. As a matter of fact, some of the most knowledgeable constitutional scholars are those who have read extensively the writings of the Founders and that great body of literature from which they gleaned their ideas.
Some of the least knowledgeable are those who have all the right "credentials," including degrees from liberal journalism and law schools, and have not a clue about the ideas essential to the protection of liberty as incorporated into the Constitution of the United States.
If she is of good character, with a good mind, loves the law, loves liberty, and is dedicated to the proposition that judges should interpret the constitution and not make law, then she will cause her critics to be silenced by her actions.

Did I read somewhere that something like 30% of all SC Justices have not been judges? True? If so, interesting!
