"Miers Said to Be Unfazed by Criticism"

Now, why should that not surprise us?

People of strong character and purpose seldom are "fazed" by the darts and arrows of others.

There are many wise, knowledgeable citizens out here in the heartland who know that it neither takes an Ivy League graduate nor a judge to be devoted to the Founders' Constitution. As a matter of fact, some of the most knowledgeable constitutional scholars are those who have read extensively the writings of the Founders and that great body of literature from which they gleaned their ideas.

Some of the least knowledgeable are those who have all the right "credentials," including degrees from liberal journalism and law schools, and have not a clue about the ideas essential to the protection of liberty as incorporated into the Constitution of the United States.

If she is of good character, with a good mind, loves the law, loves liberty, and is dedicated to the proposition that judges should interpret the constitution and not make law, then she will cause her critics to be silenced by her actions.

Amen. Those who think she should have had experience as a judge should remember all of the threads we have had against judges!
