References to creationism in drafts of a student biology book were replaced with the term "intelligent design" by the time it was published, a witness testified Do they think they can get past St Peter with a dishonest sneaky underhanded trick like that?
Intelligent design holds that life on Earth is so complex that it must have been the product of some higher force.
Say that three times in a row and try to tell me with a straight face it doesn't sound dumber each time you repeat it!

The statement says Charles Darwin's theory is "not a fact" and has inexplicable "gaps." The Bible has "inexplicable gaps". What did Jesus do from the age of 12 to 33?
The Bible is just a religion and "not a fact".

This is my bottom line beef with this whole intelligent design/creationism/evolution argument.
I am incensed by the notion that ideas should be band because they do not fit the agenda or beliefs of a group. Surly in a FREE society we should all be able to discus evolving thoughts and ideas. As illustrated by intelligent design, even creationism evolves. As for evolution, it is (pardon the pun) an evolving concept as well.
We, as a society, need to place more faith and confidence in our childrens ability to learn, reason, and develop there own perceptions of the world around them. Not one of us can say with whole hearted certainty that he/she knows exactly how all this came to be. With this I say we should embrace both intelligent design and evolution, while properly explaining to the students how the theories are derived and why they stand up to scrutiny.

A musical placemarker:
It's Another Crevo War
(with apologies to Chicago)
Waiting for the thread to load
I'm heading down that road
Opponent's post are lame
I think I'll go and flame
If I go and type some more
It's another crevo war
Staring blindly at the page
Fighting down a pent-up rage
My keyboard's about to break
Wond'ring how much I can take
If I try and make a score
It's another crevo war
Feeling like I ought to stop
Blood vessels about to pop
I'm weak, what can I say
I'll make this jerk-off pay
It's another crevo war
It's another crevo war
