White House Spy First Worked For Gore.
10/6/05

Just a heads up, Freepers.

Folks on the radio just reported that Aragoncillo, the person busted as a spy at the White House (actually, it would be the building down the street) started his tenure under Vice President Al Gore in 2000.

So if Richard Clark is so stunned by the vetting process, perhaps he should talks to Albert.

ABC is saying the same thing.

http://abcnews.go.com/WNT/story?id=1187030&page=1

In 2000, Aragoncillo worked on the staff of then-Vice President Al Gore. When interviewed by Philippine television, he remarked how valued Philippine employees were at the White House.

Yes, ABC News has been all over this as well. They also said that this criminal traitor was first hired for VP Gore.

Well, since that's the case then there's no need for the MSM to go any further with this story. Move along...

Just a feeling but I think this Phillipine connection may be a smokescreen. Political spying in the style of Watergate could be what happened.

Anyone who read 'Unlimited Access' by Gary Aldrich should NOT be surprised by this.

I ran into Gary Aldrich in a restaurant close to my home about 3 weeks ago. He is doing well.

White House Spy First Worked For Gore

Excellent. What poetry. Gore worked for a spy too.

Another Clinton era holdover.

One should not be surprised at the fact that this traitor was hired during the CLINTON administration. Of course, there will be plenty of MSM outlets that will conveniently leave this out of the story. This little detail will disappear and be replaced with, "How could the Bush Administration have a spy right under their nose for years? What did Dick Cheney and George W. Bush know and WHEN did they know it?"

Following from:
http://justoneminute.typepad.com/main/2005/10/spy_in_the_whit.html

"Matt Drudge is blaring this ABC News story:

Both the FBI and CIA are calling it the first case of espionage in the White House in modern history.

Officials tell ABC News the alleged spy worked undetected at the White House for almost three years. Leandro Aragoncillo, 46, was a U.S. Marine most recently assigned to the staff of Vice President Dick Cheney.

"I don't know of a case where the vetting broke down before and resulted in a spy being in the White House," said Richard Clarke, a former White House advisor who is now an ABC News consultant.

Federal investigators say Aragoncillo, a naturalized citizen from the Philippines, used his top secret clearance to steal classified intelligence documents from White House computers."

Good hype job! And a nice job of hiding some key info: a bit of research reveals that Aragoncillo was arrested last September 10 (press release, background, more), that his Marine Corps assignment at the White House ended in 2002, and that he was originally arrested for espionage activities in which he engaged in 2005 while working for the FBI in Monmouth, NJ. [The original complaint.]

ABC does break news with this:

Since that arrest, officials say Aragoncillo has started to cooperate. He has admitted to spying while working on the staff of Vice President Cheney's office.

So there does seem to be an emerging White House connection, which ended in 2002. That timing does not exactly leap off the page.

One wonders whether the stolen intel might relate to US anti-terror activities in the Phillipines. This is encouraging, but not definitive:

Officials were reluctant to describe the documents, but court filings said the records included intelligence on a defense treaty and the U.S. assessment of the political situation in the Pacific Rim country.

I think she's attractive. That lady just comes off real warm, even though she's on the left.

Nice smile.
