That's what got me -- how did he know on such short notice the guy was disturbed and it has gone down here so far the OU Daily questioned his comments in an editorial and got back a wishy washy letter to all students.
I received the following email today from the OU ticket office -- we used 4 out of 5 tickets. All of a sudden they are concerned we didn't use all our tickets. Last time we only used three and we didn't hear a peep.
We missed you on Saturday!
Our records indicate that all of your tickets were not used for Saturday's game versus Kansas State. It is extremely important to have a packed Gaylord Family-Oklahoma Memorial Stadium cheering on the Sooners and your assistance is essential to providing a home-field advantage.
Unfortunately, you also missed an opportunity to receive your full attendance credit in the Sooner Loyalty Program for use of your season tickets. Based on your rate of ticket usage, this credit can help you accumulate Sooner Club Priority Points.
We recognize that, in the hectic pace of your everyday schedule, it may not always be possible for you personally to attend all of the games during a season. That's why we allow you to earn credit even when someone else uses your tickets. We've designed OU Ticket Marketplace and Ticket Sharing to assist you in doing just that.
If you would like to utilize these services or would like more information, please visit the Athletics Ticket Office page at SoonerSports.com.
We hope to see you at the next Sooner home game versus Baylor on October 22. If you are again unable to use your tickets, we hope you will take advantage of the opportunity to earn attendance credit by passing your tickets on to other Sooner fans.
If you feel this message was received in error, please contact the Athletics Ticket Office at (405) 325-2424 or (800) 456-GoOU or outickets@ou.edu.
Thank you for your support of OU Athletics.
Boomer Sooner!
OU is more interested in paying for their remodeling rather than be honest with their patrons.
Interesting email. I'm wondering if these 5 people they speak of are the same 5 people originally reported as "injured" and then "forgotten about"... (o:
You went to the expense to buy season tickets and they write you "nag-mail"?
Sheeesh!!
That explains Boren's lies, though (and when you forcefully say something you don't know to be true, ala "it's a lone disturbed kid" in order to propagandize, that is clearly a lie, and he is a liar). It's the bottom line: "a packed stadium looks good and means more $$$ to me".
Ok, this calls for a HUGE HMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMm. Please keep your e-mail, print it out....and as always, thanks for being here. :)
I have to use a "LOL" here....OU is bothered about something. Hint: it is not the bombing!!!
I got that message thanking us for using all of our tickets!
You should send an email back that perhaps if there werent terrorist incidents at OU stadium, you would use your full allotment of football tickets.
Of course, my alma mater University of Washinton used to have 72,000 screaming fans, but now they are down to 50,000 and 22,000 plus empty seats, and 10,000 less season tickets....that is what scandal does to you (and what a successful terror incident might do too!)
