Zogby: Pirro only tied with Cox and Spencer
Zogby press release ^ | October 3, 2005 | John Zogby

Posted on 10/05/2005 11:24:52 AM PDT by jmaroneps37

Hillary Rodham Clinton, New York’s first-term junior senator, whose job approval stands at 66% in the survey, far outpolls her challengers as well. Against Ed Cox, the New York City attorney and son-in-law to former President Richard Nixon, Clinton leads by 60% to 33%. Jeanine Pirro, the Westchester County district attorney who has much of the Republican Party’s leadership at her back, does marginally better, trailing Clinton by 57% to 34%. Former Yonkers Mayor John Spencer trails Clinton by a two-to-one, 60% to 30% margin.

Let's see, the more people see of Pirro the less they like her and Cox has spent a million dollars. Now after the first month of this dance they are only statistically tied with John Spencer who has not yet announced.

Pirro BLEW IT from her first press conference where she couldn't find her notes and shuffled through them frantically.

Pirro is NOT READY for Prime Time.

RINOS, RINOS, WE WANT RINOS!

You Bible-thumpers who just care about interfering with gays who just want to get married and women who just want to kill their babies need to get out of the Republican Party and leave it to us reasonable, pragmatic conservatives to destroy.

Pirro believes in abortion, gun control and "gay rights." She's just another phony RINO. Don't waste your money supporting her. Would rather have a real tough conservative oppose Hillary and take it to her, even if that person wins.

She's just another phony RINO.

And do you think any real conservative Republican could even begin to survive in New York? New York, like the rest of the liberal cesspools, are really one party states -- RINOs and Libs. Same thing really.

Hillary's job approval rating at 66%? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!?

Q: Is Hilary doing a good job?
Uhh, I guess so.. - there ya go, that's ninety percent of it. Most people don't even have a clue as to what a senator is supposed to do. As for the Hilary vs 'X' questions - the election is over a year away. An incumbent should poll at least 60% against anyone at this point - anything less shows weakness.

As for RINOs - you do the best you can. I'm not interested in seeing another Keyes style sacrifice upon the altar of better than thou. And I also notice that a critical question was missing from the poll - Should Senator Clinton run again for the senate if she intends upon running for President in 2008? Ask that question first, and her 'approval' rating will fall through the floor.

"How does the hildebeast keep such a stranglehold on NY?"
Because conservatives have been crapped on and abandoned by the current crop of rinos. We would not be looking at a "Governor Spitzer" if that jackass dennis vacco had not run away from the Right to Life line and in effect killed them as a party. There may or may not be enough conservatives in the state to throw out the beast, but we have to rally behind John Spencer and see.

I don't like to stereotype or typify the population of a given area in derogatory terms, particularly when there are so many of them and so few of me. But, if this poll is to be believed, 60% of New Yorkers appear to have special needs.

As someone who worked in Westchester, and had clients and a boss involved in the county political machine, let me tell you this, Pirro represents the worst tendencies of country club police state overlawyered elitist Republicanism, and snobby Westchester prudishness, that has has been seen in Westchester politics in a long time.

Her philosophies on the role of government is in line with those who have turned Westchester into a location where no one can afford to live there nor desire to pay the ridiculous taxes once they pass peak earning years of their careers.

The Republicans in NY need a populist to swing the independent vote, Pirro is the accomplished consummate law and order elitist. She is not a phony RINO, she is an openly elitist wealthy suburban woman who doesn't hie her wealth, elitism, or ambitions. She probably has a great future ahead of her still, but I doubt she'll connect to the voters in NY in opposition to Hillary.

Yep. Exactly. It was over then. You're going to see the clip of that over and over in the weeks- and months, perhaps-ahead. Not that anyone could beat Sweet Hillary anyway, of course, but she (Attorney General facelift) gave ANY opponent all the ammo they needed.
