Ensign is widely popular and I don't think a guy related to Jimmy Carter who has only lived in the state for a few years has much of a chance in The Silver State.

"I think the federal government does some things better than the private sector," Carter said.

Such as.....?

a business background that taught him "you pay for what you spend."

Well, now THAT is so profound as to be meaningless. I have no clue what he is talking about.

Carter, 58, and his wife, Elizabeth, have lived in Las Vegas since 2003, operating the investment consulting firm Carter Global.

Their cut is 22% interest.

You’d think a “business background” might have revealed some truth a little less obvious.

He knows what he learnt, though.

He doesn't have a chance against Ensign.

I didn't know he had a son, either.

I do remember Amy, the nuclear policy advisor.

They do a great deal of business with China, Cuba, and North Korea, I'm sure.

Absolutely! No one can spend more and get less than the federal government. They are #1 in that area.

LOL, Jimmy Carter's son?? There's a real attractive candidate for you...

Ensign will appreciate being re-elected in a landslide.

Carter said he decided to run in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He said he was offended by the federal government's response to the disaster.

And this relates to his potential constituency how? That's a pretty weak premise for running.
