URGE YOUR HOUSE REP TO SIGN RAMADAN RESOLUTION
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 9/23/05) The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today urged American Muslims and other people of conscience to call their elected representatives and ask that they sign on to a House resolution recognizing the upcoming Islamic fast of Ramadan. (Calls are best because of time constraints.)
The resolution states in part:
(1) during this time of conflict, in order to demonstrate solidarity with and support for members of the community of Islam in the United States and throughout the world, the House of Representatives recognizes the Islamic faith as one of the great religions of the world; and (2) in observance of and out of respect for the commencement of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting and spiritual renewal, the House of Representatives acknowledges the onset of Ramadan and expresses its deepest respect to Muslims in the United States and throughout the world on this significant occasion.

Great idea a resolution declaring it a month long pork fest - eat pork every day - do not fast - and daily racially profile a diaper head. Now that is a resolution to vote for.

CAIR has teamed up with the ACLU! What bothers me most is their lack of cooperation with the FBI, especially with regards to profiling, mosques, etc. The have chapters all over the US and put pressure on locals with their Sensitivity to Islam handbooks for law enforcement. They boast on their website all of their accomplishments as they politically chip away in the US little by little. Most recently, Boeing apologized and withdrew an ad boasting the Osprey (I believe that is what it is called) which is a helicopter/plane which showed a picture of soldiers lowering themselves into a mosque. This offended american muslims. I will try to post the ad.

I'll do this when CAIR signs a resolution recognizing Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving, the Fourth of July, Memorial Day, Veterans' Day, and all of the Jewish holidays as well. Oh, yes; and when CAIR takes a strong, straightforward position condemning terrorism and islamo-fascist terrorists.

CAIR is a subversive Wahabi organization. They've declared war on America. Bulldoze their mosques. Arrest and deport the evil satan worshiping nazi bastards.

WHAT?!?!?! [sputter, gag] Where do you get that from? CAIR has been well on record that they support The Constitution and Bill of Rights (except for some of that stuff Ibrahim Hooper said, but he mis-spoke.. or didn't mean to say that anyway). Just because it's at odds with the teachings of the koran.
I know what this is about, it's that Taqiyya thing, where we can lie to the infidel if it advances islam, right? Don't worry about that, it's nothing, really. Trust us, we are your friends, and jihad is a peaceful struggle.

In the interest of fairness, I have a counter proposal: We express our "respect" for Islam in the same way Islam expresses its "respect" for Christianity?
While we're at it, I propose we allow just as many Mosques in the U.S. as Saudi Arabia allows Christian churches in Saudi Arabia.
And, just to be fair, we extend the same civil rights to Muslims in the U.S. as the Saudis extend to Americans in Saudi Arabia.
The list could get pretty long...
I will add...Islam is the biggest threat to our FREEDOM!

I will write to my Rep when CAIR comes out on world-wide TV, everyday - speaking loudly and clearly in all languages, condemning the atrocities of the terrorists and supporting our President, our troops, and this Country in the War on Terrorism and not once whine about how we pick on Muslims when we don't pick on others. I ditto the "Screw Care" comment of my fellow Freeper.
