Supposition And Irresponsibility

Well have you heard the latest about what actually happened in the Superdome and Convention Center during Hurricane Katrina?

We were told that there were gang rapes, murders and mayhem on a grand scale and that the basement of the Superdome was stacked with dead bodies.

As it turns out none of these stories were true.

Eight people died, mostly from natural causes and suicide and an official in New Orleans stated that the murder rate during Katrina was about the same as during normal times.

We sat at home imagining the horrible things happening in the Superdome, and believe me I know it was bad enough just being there, and all the time the media was basing their reporting on rumors and supposition.

They should be ashamed of themselves. They’re supposed to verify something before they broadcast it to the nation and in their feeding frenzy they reported totally erroneous information to an unsuspecting public all across this country.

Well did you ever stop and think that what happened with the news media in New Orleans during Katrina, happens on a grand scale everyday in Iraq?

Reporters who serve little purpose but to get in the way of our military are always on the lookout for something bad to report, and if it doesn’t exist some of them are not above making something up.

Anything to make the military and President Bush look bad, heats their goal, that’s their mission

If you don’t believe what I’m telling you, and I know that many of you don’t want to, just ask any soldier who has served in Southwest Asia.

There are too many people who believe any thing they are told by the media and the major part of the media has a political agenda.

We should learn a lesson from what happened in New Orleans Even some of the country’s major newspapers have denounced the coverage, and for them to defy another media outlet must mean that it’s really bad.

A once proud and honorable profession has fallen into the hands of agenda driven ideologues who give us more personal prejudice than information and more editorial than hard news.

Just pick up the sports page of your local newspaper and see what your hometown sports columnist has to say about your sports teams.

I know where I live you would think that the columnist for our local paper hated our professional and college teams. It seems that he never has anything totally good to say about them and casts doubts on their abilities and magnifies their shortcomings.

Well folks, this attitude isn’t confined to the sports desk, it is pervasive throughout the major newspapers and news organizations around these United States.

The media is best taken with a few grains of salt and a large dose of cynicism.

Pray for our troops.

Oh give me a break! We all know that the media never lies. There were bodies stacked through the roof of the Superdome. How else would that hole have gotten there?

The left MSM is on a crusade to make sure you are not happy. As long as there is a Republican in the White House you are not allowed to feel good about your President, your country, your military, not even your sports!

All the news the MSM create is bad and meant to make you feel bad. Even such things as sports is presented in a negative way. But once there is a democrat in the White House then everything changes and it's like "we are living in an American golden age."

Personally I think it is a crime, especially when the MSM are guilty of robbing this young generation's accomplishments and sacrifices they give for our country in the service of our great country.

Eternal shame on the MSM, may they rot in hell.
