Moby's anti-Bush tricks
One of Sen. John Kerry's celebrity supporters is ready to pull out all the stops to get him elected. Republicans are shrieking over a suggestion by rocker Moby that Democrats spread gossip about President Bush on the Internet.
"No one's talking about how to keep the other side home on Election Day," Moby tells us. "It's a lot easier than you think and it doesn't cost that much. This election can be won by 200,000 votes."
Moby suggests that it's possible to seed doubt among Bush's far-right supporters on the Web.
"You target his natural constituencies," says the Grammy-nominated techno-wizard. "For example, you can go on all the pro-life chat rooms and say you're an outraged right-wing voter and that you know that George Bush drove an ex-girlfriend to an abortion clinic and paid for her to get an abortion.
"Then you go to an anti-immigration Web site chat room and ask, 'What's all this about George Bush proposing amnesty for illegal aliens?'"
Moby didn't claim that he believed the abortion story.

Republican National Committee spokeswoman Christine Iverson likened Moby's proposal to "dirty campaign tactics we're already seeing from John Kerry."
"His campaign was willing to use these kinds of voter suppression tactics against members of his own party in Iowa and New Hampshire," Iverson says. "John Kerry is a hypocrite. He pledged to run a clean campaign. Then he uses the lowest form of gutter politics to impugn his opponents, Democratic and Republican. It's unfortunate but this is probably just the beginning of the kind of tactics we're going to be seeing from John Kerry in the months to come."
Kerry spokeswoman Stephanie Cutter said, "I doubt that Moby was suggesting anybody suppress the vote. We did not use any dirty tactics against any candidate.

Thanks. I will refrain from posting until I've been a member for five more years.
You sound like some of my professors at the University of Wyoming.
Hi beautiful.Just thought we had a head count for today.Viking Kitty -she brings in fresh kill every night and lays it at our feet:)
I dress better.
Political dissent is at the core of our first amendment rights. Criticism of an elected leader, whether it be of ones own party or of the loyal opposition, is something the Founding Fathers engaged in at all times. In fact, throughout US history there has always been a give and take in the political arena. From Washington, to Jackson, to Lincoln, to TR, to FDR, to Ike, to Reagan and finally to Bush43, politics is not for the thin skinned.
"but there are a lot of folks who should know better who are piling on for no good reason."
When you are through drinking the kool-aid, take a deep breath and see the missed opportunity for what it was. Going with a known conservative on all issues, rather than with an unknown is like throwing away two-pair of kings and queens, and hoping that three of the next four cards drawn will all be aces. fat chance. well, lean chance at best.
Hope everyone remembers that not ALL people who signed up in 2005 are "trolls-in-waiting" ... and quit looking suspiciously at me like that! =)
I have no problem with people being skeptical or even concerned. Heck, I was shocked to find out she was the nominee. I'm willing though, to find out why the president feels she is the best choice before making a final decision of my own.
My youngest graddaughter Sarah-she is 10 months old now.I will be posting new pictures. We call her Porky. We might be getting off subject:)I know it's the smile.
Speaking of the Viking Kitty.....I was on Meek's ping list and I haven't been pinged in months. Is he still sending those out, or is someone else doing it now?
One of the comments that gives them away every time is the one where they say " I am through with the republican party, I am going to vote for third party, or Hillary, next time, or I am not giving any more money to RNC until such and such happens." You can almost bet people who say those statements are fake conservatives or people being stampeded, either way who needs them?
I am waiting until the facts are in, not the hype, before I make up my mind about this candidate. So far we are getting the same hype and BS we got when Roberts was first nominated, only more of it.
We'll quit "drinking the kool-aid" when you Pat-Bots and malcontents quit jerking your knees.
When are you lemmings going to come up with new lines? You're soooooooo boring.
I've only been here a little over a year, so I'm probably still considered a newbie, too.
darkwing104 took over for Meek.
All signs point to her being quite pro-life, though. That's one thing we seem to know about her, and some are still going ballistic.
