Ann Coulter: Miers a 'Complete Mediocrity'
Newsmax ^ | Monday, Oct. 3, 2005

Count Ann Coulter among the conservatives who are unhappy with President Bush’s nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme Court.

Asked by NewsMax.com if she considers Miers to be what she had called John Roberts after his nomination - a "tabula rasa” - Coulter, who’s now out with the paperback edition of her best-seller "How to Talk to a Liberal (If You Must),” said:

"No. She’s something new: a complete mediocrity.”

Ouch.

And you'll sell it out still hanging on to a sliver of hope that things aren't really as they seem. What's the difference. The end result is still the same.

And it doesn't bother you that she has exactly zero experience as a judge?

Why should that bother anyone? It certainly didn't bother the founders.

Putting someone with her experience on SCOTUS is about on par with McDonalds promoting a store manager to CEO.

You should be ashamed of yourself.

By the way, CJ John Marshall was not a judge either. Him and about 40 others give or take a few.

In "Roberts" case she wasn't wrong either.

There needs to be a new Republican classification called Knee Jerk Republicans and you need to join. You don't know squat about how Roberts will run the Supreme Court and yet you lambast him. Thank God someone like you isn't in charge of selecting Dog Catcher.

Well, I mean, let's face it, there was no US Justice system before 1789. We should have appointed Tory judges?

Well since Anne didn't like Roberts it's no surprise she doesn't like Miers.

No kidding. Guess those of us who tend to trust that the President made a good decision with Harriet Miers may as well be dismissed and treated as loyal midgets.

Okay, but at least they held some important Judicial post prior to being nominated. Rehnquist clerked for a Justice, and he was #2 at the Justice Department. The most Miers can claim is that she was president of the Texas Bar and the President's personal lawyer. That's hardly on the same level.

The bimbo's are the ones that are saying "just trust the President".

I came to the conclusion quite a while back that FReeper women tend to be a bit more socially moderate than the men and also lean more to Bushbotism.

But, ....they are not all BIMBOs.

and yes, there are exceptions...some FReeperettes are serious culture warriors

and some are sadly....bimbos..lol

True, but they never saw fit to amend it nor have any Congress since. Smart move.

When you let your spite put Hillary in office you will never have another chance to change things. Maybe W isn't what you hoped he would be, but right now the dems are losing and about to become irrelevant. You and your ilk are making them relevant again.

Why would the Senate dems trash a woman who was on Harry Reid's "approved" list?

Sort of like you trusted him to fight affirmative action, guard the borders and hold down federal spending.

BushBots crack me up.

Beware when they tell you that the most qualified nominee for the SCOTUS contributed cash to the DNC five days before the Reagan legacy candidate vs Michael Dukakis election. You are a frickin' broken record! Nobody gives a damn about that, in case you haven't figured it out.

Can't imagine that you are correct. I'm twenty years younger than this nominee and became a conservative before her and I would expect that if I was running for office and it was discovered that I voted for Walter Mondale over Ronald Reagan, as I did, that conservatives would be suspicious of me...it would be prudent for them to be suspicious.

This nominee was older back then than I am now and contributed big dollars five days before election day to the DNC on behalf of Michael Dukakis in the final push to take the White House. Dukakis was a flake that no one who was 47 years old and had a clue would possibly vote for, much less contribute to.

I'll never vote 3rd party. I'll never sit it out. But, you can bet there are many, many who will. And have for less than this.

[Brown's] only error was in not having Blanco and NAGIN jailed.

Could FEMA have done that? If so, is it too late to do so? '-)

If she'd had her way, Dukakis would have won.
