Harriet Miers
""Exodus is a worldwide interdenominational, Christian organization called to encourage, strengthen, unify and equip Christians to minister the transforming power of the Lord Jesus Christ to those affected by homosexuality."
Somebody pass the popcorn -- once the MSM sees that, all hell is gonna break loose..."
Just the fact that she's a CHRISTIAN (gasp) is enough to send them over the edge. First a CATHOLIC now THIS???? :)
OK, I will take your opinion over Bush's. He's only known her for years.
Hopeful thanking? Probably. Otherwise it will take some time for me to come to terms with the enormity of this betrayal.
I was responding to "Notes2005", who is about to jump off a cliff because of this nomination.
"Zero judicial experience. The Democrats will eat this alive"
The DemonRats are too busy dancing in the street.
Planned Parenthood is against Miers.
You've been lying all over the board today.
When Miers made a donation to Gore in 1988, he was PRO LIFE!
"...I'm feeling very Daschle about the whole thing...."
That's funny, I'm feeling very Vince Foster about the whole thing.
Except it's probably not that Exodus, but this one http://www.exodusministriesinc.com/objective.htm . (according to her profile: "EXODUS Ministry, Inc. Former Member, Board")
Those are all good points. As you said, time will tell. I'm not happy about this pick, but there's obviously nothing I can do about it other than hope I'm wrong.
Good pick then.
Now now calm down. Just because we suffer a set back doesn't mean that you should run out and join the bad guys.
Never give up, never surrender. I learned that two generations ago as a teenaged Marine. Stay true to your principles and loyal to your cause.
ACLJ is for the nominee.
He was also pro life back then.
"Sky is blue -- details at 11."
Just like his father with the Souter pick the spin will be she is a good pick for conservatives. Bush senior called Souter a "home run" for the conservative right. As they say it may just be the right time to leave the party.
Planned Parenthood would be against Ginsberg if Bush nominated her.
While a minor issue, it troubles me that so many people are making such a big deal out of the fact that she "went to work" put herself through college. Was I the only one who did that?
Ah.
Still grist for the mill...
I'm put in mind of that line from the movie Master and Commander concerning choosing between the lesser of two weevils.
