I'm very interested. Tell me more.
obsructionist = obstructionist
(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)
The artical says REPLACEMENT FOR AL GONZALES - COUNCIL TO THE PRESIDENT, not nominee for Supreme Court...alot of JUMPING THE SHARK going on this morning.
I think you're dreaming.....
I got the impression from his introduction that 43 knows what he's getting, that she's as conservative as 43 is. If that's not conservative enough, that's the best we'll get out of 43. If we want more, we need a third party, because I can guarantee you now that it won't be had from the Republicans.
I have been studying these potential nominees since July. When Harriet's name was bandied around I studied her and she went directly to the second bottom of my list with AG Gonzales being at the very bottom.
Sure is!
And you had to reach all the way back to '88 for that. Why didn't you include her more recent contributions?
Al Gore in 1988. He was pro-life, then. Lloyd Benson was not a lib as an old-line Texas Democrat. I don't know where he stood on life issues.
I ain't new, and I agree that - given the limited information available - this looks awful, simply awful.
(Like our noble VP :)
What are you talking about? Calm down, and try to be specific, please.
Harriet Meirs is no political hack. That is a disservice to political hacks. Political hacks are loyal to the party who employs them in hack jobs like lottery commissioners. When you give money to both parties like she did with Bentsen-Gore, you are no hack you are a political whore.
Where were you at 8:00 this morning when the President nominated her on National TV?
let me know what he has to say, please? i am tuning out the histrionics of FR.
I got on the thread late, and I was waiting for someone to say that. There are many people (some of them Freepers) who are personally pro-choice but in whose judgment it is not a Constitutional right and should be left to the states.
Even the current Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, is a former Democrat.
