Winnie the Pooh can hurt Muslim's sentiments! London | October 01, 2005 3:12:26 PM IST

Winnie the Pooh, the Piglet and The Three Little Pigs must be among every child's favourite cartoon and comic characters, but workers at a council office in UK have been asked to remove all traces of pigs from the office, lest it offends Muslim staff.

Workers in the benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, were told to remove or cover up all pig-related items, including toys, porcelain figures, calendars and even tissue boxes featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet, reports The Sun.

Reports said that the Council passed the decision after a Muslim complained about pig-shaped stress relievers delivered to the council in the run-up to the festival of Ramadan, the host month of fasting that precedes Eid.

Though some have expressed surprise, many have backed the ban.

"It's a tolerance of people's beliefs," said Mahbubur Rahman, a Muslim Councillor who has backed the ban. (ANI)

Great news! Maybe we should just airdrop tons of Piglet stuffed animals over known terrorist strongholds and just watch as they all come out screaming for their lives! Kinda like Monty Pythons Killer Joke....

Dear Lord...may the tide turn against this intolerant Islamofascist scourge on the heels of their trying to eradicate the closest friend of the tubby little cubby all stuffed with fluff.

Or, as Eeyore might say, "The are idiots of astonishingly little brain...just useless bits of gray fluff blown in by mistake!"

Yet they want to erase (or ban) every trace of other beliefs in their 'home' countries.

I think someone in the office should suddenly declare that stuffed pigs are a part of their "religion". Wonder what would happen then. Muck the Fuslims!!

Notice how "It's a tolerance of people's beliefs" when they want things their way, they want some icon removed, they want their 5x daily prayer period, they want...they want...they want... But they sure forget any 'tolerance of peoples' beliefs' when it oooooooofends them.

Jesse Jackson and crew have used a similar technique for decades.

That is how PC got started and continues to flourish--because to few will tell them to shove it.

Yeah...and annihilating the Jews was Nazi Germany's way of "tolerating Aryan beliefs," Herr Rahman.

Take your copy of Mein Q'uran and shove it where Allah speaks, stupid.

More and more the UK is becoming the NEWEST Muslim captured country! Add the UK along with France! I remember nations went to war over intruders wanting to take over their country. Muslims are capturing countries without ever shooting a single shot! Scary s***!

NOVELTY pig calendars and toys have been banned from a council office — in case they offend Muslim staff. Workers in the benefits department at Dudley Council, West Midlands, were told to remove or cover up all pig-related items, including toys, porcelain figures, calendars and even a tissue box featuring Winnie the Pooh and Piglet. Bosses acted after a Muslim complained about pig-shaped stress relievers delivered to the council in the run-up to the Islamic festival of Ramadan. Muslims are barred from eating pork in the Koran and consider pigs unclean. Councillor Mahbubur Rahman, a practising Muslim, backed the ban....
