every pickup truck I saw this morning on my way to out of town had shotguns or rifles in the gun racks. Seems country folk have heard the news and have prepared accordingly.'Mornin' A_D! I wouldn't attribute the sight of rural shotguns and rifles to an anti-terrorist mindset. Remember it is hunting season, too. If you see lots of AR's and M1A's then I'll feel comforted.

Only thing in season right now are squirrel and dove. Shotguns used for both so I can see your point.
Still, like a good friend of mine says:

A: The one you have with you.
I start seeing those type weapons in pickup trucks, I'm staying home.
