All the shutters are up. Bought the generator yesterday. Got the supplies ready. All the guns are loaded and spaced in easy spots to reach. Coordinated with the neighbors on a safety plan. Good pal to my direct south one door down is a former chopper jockey, infantry captain and used to be the NRA rep for this area. Big hunter. We've got fields of fire all arranged. On the other side is a real cute couple with a new baby and they moved here just recently from Minnesota and they're sorta liberal but not real bad. But they don't have any guns and don't I think "believe" in them...but they're not rabid. They flat out said that they're depending on us to protect them from the looters. But they said it tongue in cheek sort of gently teasing. They really ARE good neighbors so I'll help them out. I hope they don't become 2nd Amendment believers the hard way....and too late.

Anyway, we're in good shape so nobody should worry about us. I hope we don't lose power, but there's a good chance that we will so I may be off the net for awhile. I wish I knew what has happened to the FR emergency contact list. If anybody has it and I'm off too long feel free to give me a call.

I'll try and stay on and catch up with TM some tonight until it really starts to get hairy in a few hours. A few prayers our way would be appreciated. Soon my wife and I will kneel to the Lord and do the final preparation.....

(I'm at work right now, hope to leave after 9 p.m.) ... we're getting the first outer band. It's a monster - this is some of the heaviest rain I've ever seen. Moving very fast. We're under a tornado warning; a twister is still bouncing around east of I-75.

Prayers for you and your wife from here too. Somehow I doubt you'll be getting much sleep tonight. Will be checking the weather channel periodically during the night to monitor from here. May God keep you, your wife and your neighbors safe from harm.
