Al Qaeda Prepared 50 Terrorist Kamikazes for Attacks in Turkey

Ankara. International terrorist network Al Qaeda is planning terrorist attacks in Turkey during the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, which starts on October 5, RIA Novosti reported today. Al Qaeda has trained 50 women kamikazes in the country, Turkish political Tempo Daily reads today.

According to information from the so-called Al Qaeda commander in Turkey, Omer bin Abulwedud, during the holy month Osama Bin Laden will arrive in Iraq to personally lead the war against the occupiers. The newspaper reads that a large number of Turkish citizens will also arrive in Iraq.

Turkey is the most complex country for Al Qaeda’s activity, Sedat Laciner, President of International Strategic Research Organization (ISRO/USAK), said, adding that Al Qaeda uses Syrian citizens for the execution of terrorist attacks in Turkey.

Judicial Watch has pointed out that the Clinton’s ordered IRS audits of The National Rifle Association, The Heritage Foundation, The National Review, The American Spectator, Freedom Alliance, National Center for Public Policy Research, American Policy Center, American Cause, Citizens Against Government Waste, Citizens for Honest Government, Progress and Freedom Foundation, Concerned Women for America and the San Diego Chapter of Christian Coalition. They didn’t limit this abuse of power to organizations;

they also allegedly ordered audits of individuals such as Bill O’Reilly of Fox News; Clinton paramours Gennifer Flowers and Elizabeth Ward Gracen; sexual assault accusers Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick, and fired White House Travel Office Director Billy Dale.

It is no wonder that Hillary Clinton’s lawyers are fighting so hard to suppress these damaging accusations from the Federal Prosecutor. While it is unlikely that either Clintons would ever be punished for their crimes, the inelegant dissemination of facts during an election year could prove catastrophic, especially, after working so hard to try to convince the American public that their butterfly isn’t a moth.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "NORMAN - The FBI has found no evidence so far that a University of Oklahoma student who died in a bombing Saturday night tried to get inside the football stadium or had ties to any terrorist organization, officials said Tuesday.

The FBI also has found no evidence anyone else was involved, officials said. Still, OU plans to tighten security at upcoming football games. Fans can expect bags and purses to be checked more closely.

“They should come a little earlier,” OU President David Boren said. “Be patient with us - know it’s only for their safety that we’re being very, very thorough.”

Fans also will not be allowed to leave at the half on passes and return.

Joel “Joe” Henry Hinrichs III is believed to have died in an explosion about 7:30 p.m. Saturday on a campus bench about 100 yards from the packed Gaylord Family - Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. Investigators are treating the death as a suicide.

OU was playing Kansas State before more than 80,000 fans. The game was in the second quarter. The blast could be heard inside the stadium.

Explosives later were removed from the student’s university-owned apartment."

Technically, TATP is triacetone triperoxide. However, it's called the 'Mother of Satan' by Islamist extremists. Experts say it is made by mixing common household items such as drain cleaner and bleach to create a white powder with a strong smell.

It's so volatile that it can explode even if it's merely dropped. It can even explode spontaneously, experts say.

There have been very few reports of TATP being used in the United States; however, there have been more documented cases overseas -- including Richard Reid, who was arrested after he used TATP in his shoe and tried to light it on a flight."

Meet Brigadier General Qassem Suleimani, the
commander of Iran's anti-American Qods Force.

WITH RECENT U.S. and British allegations that
shipments of explosives similar to those used by
Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) are
being shipped into Iraq from Iran for use by the
insurgency, it is long past time for American
policy-makers to examine the role of Iranian
Brigadier General Qassem Suleimani and the Qods
(Jerusalem) Force unit under his command in
fomenting and facilitating anti-American terrorist
activity since the September 11 attacks.

The very nature of General Suleimani's position within
the IRGC warrants him being on America's radar. As
the commander of Qods Force, Suleimani is charged
with overseeing the IRGC's extra-territorial
operations and, according to Time magazine, he
serves as a special advisor to Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on the issues of both Iraq and
Afghanistan. Under Suleimani--and his predecessor
Ahmad Vahidi--Qods Force has been linked to nearly
every instance of Iranian-backed terrorism over the
course of the last decade, including the 1994 bombing
of the Jewish community center in Buenos Aires,
Argentina, that killed 85 and injured 230. A U.S.
intelligence analysis of Qods Force leaked to the
Washington Post in September 2003 provided even
further insight into its activities.

According to the analysis, Qods Force has agents in
most countries with large Muslim populations and its
goal is to "form relationships with Islamic militant and
radical groups and offer financial support either to the
groups at large or to Islamic figures within them who
are sympathetic to the principles and foreign policy
goals of the Iranian government." Contrary to the
conventional wisdom that rules out Shiite-Sunni
cooperation, the analysis also stated that Qods Force
had trained more than three dozen Shiite and Sunni
foreign Islamic militant groups in paramilitary,
guerrilla, and terror tactics, including assassination,
kidnapping, torture, and explosives.

THESE ACTIVITIES are alarming enough but, as
explained in a second Post story from September
2003, the organization's role in anti-U.S. activities
extends even further. Citing a European intelligence
official, the Post noted that after the fall of the
Taliban al Qaeda's second-in-command Ayman
al-Zawahiri (whose relationship with Qods Force goes
back at least a decade) negotiated safe harbor for
much of the surviving al Qaeda leadership inside Iran,
including bin Laden's son and heir apparent, Saad,
and the terror network's de facto ministers of war,
finance, propaganda, and ideology. Numerous media
reports listed future-Iraqi insurgent leader Abu Musab
Zarqawi as among these refugees.

While Zarqawi quickly left Iran for Iraq (possibly
under duress from Iranian authorities because of both
his anti-Shiite views and the government's desire to
counter U.S. criticism that Iran was soft on al Qaeda),
the rest of the al Qaeda leaders who took refuge in
Iran continue to operate. Despite Iranian claims that
any al Qaeda members within its borders are "in
custody," these senior leaders appear to continue to
operate within what a French counter-terrorism
official described to AFP in July 2004 as "controlled
freedom of movement"--a controlled freedom due in
no small part to the influence of Qods Force.

THE ANTI-AMERICAN ACTIVITIES of Qods Force aren't
simply limited to protecting the al Qaeda leadership.
According to a report in Time, as early as September
2002 Ali Khamenei placed General Suleimani in
charge of organizing various Iraqi groups as part of
an Iranian plan to dominate the country following
Saddam's removal. Among these targeted groups
were the Badr Brigades military wing of the Supreme
Council for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (SCIRI is now a
key member of the Iraqi ruling coalition), the
Mujahideen for Islamic Revolution in Iraq (MIRI),
Thar-Allah, and Iran's favorite proxy, the Lebanese
Hezbollah. Yet it was not until April 2004 and the
beginning of Muqtada al-Sadr's failed uprising that
Qods Force would truly make its presence in Iraq felt.

As reported by the London Arabic newspaper al-Sharq
al-Awsat, al-Sadr visited Iran in late 2003 and met
with General Suleimani. At the onset of al-Sadr's
uprising, the paper reported that Qods Force had set
up training camps at Qasr Shireen, Ilam, and Hamid
in southern Iran along the Iraqi border to train the
radical cleric's Mahdi Army and financed his campaign
to the tune of $80,000,000. A March 2005 report by
the Brussels-based International Crisis Group (ICG)
treated most charges of Iranian meddling in Iraq with
skepticism, but quoted one E.U. diplomat as saying
that "[Qassem] Suleimani seemingly had an agenda
to support Muqtada al-Sadr in the Najaf crisis. . . .
But as the war went on, he withdrew his support."
The report cited another diplomat as saying that Iran
had provided al-Sadr with "funding and arms."

IN MAY 2004, al-Sharq al-Awsat published a story
claiming that members of Qods Force had attempted
to provide both explosives and upwards of $900,000
to Abu Musab Zarqawi, with the intention of him
carrying out attacks on U.S. and European embassies
and commercial centers in five Gulf states. According
to the newspaper, the plot was thwarted by Iranian
intelligence at the behest of the-then President
Khatami, who likely recognized that such action could
easily result in a US reprisal against Iran. At
Khatami's direction, Iranian intelligence arrested a
number of al Qaeda operatives as well as a Qods
Force official, yet no actions were taken against
General Suleimani and he remains in command of the
elite military unit to this day.

In August 2004, al-Sharq al-Awsat cited an official
who had attended an Iranian military seminar in
which General Suleimani stated that Zarqawi and 20
senior members of the terrorist group Ansar al-Islam
are allowed to enter Iran whenever they want through
border points between Halabja and Ilam in Iraq.
When asked why Iran would support Zarqawi given
his anti-Shiite activities, Suleimani stated that
Zarqawi's actions in Iraq "serve the supreme interests
of Iran" by preventing the creation of a pro-U.S.
government. These remarks seem to square with the
views of the ICG report on Iranian meddling in Iraq
which, while largely skeptical, concluded that Kurdish
assertions about Iran's Revolutionary Guards backing
Ansar al-Islam (described by the U.S. State
Department as "closely allied with al-Qa'ida and Abu
Mus'ab al-Zarqawi's group" as well as "one of the
leading groups engaged in anti-Coalition attacks in
Iraq") "most likely have merit."

Thus far, discussions over the proper course of US
policy towards Iran have primarily focused on the
regime's nuclear program. Perhaps the activities of
General Suleimani and Qods Force should be included
in that discussion, too.

U.S. Treasury Designates Two Individuals with
Ties to al Qaida, UBL
Former BIF Leader and al-Qaida Associate
Named Under E.O. 13224

The U.S Department of the Treasury today announced the designation of Adel Abdul Jalil Batterjee and Saad Rashed Mohammad al-Faqih for providing financial and material support to al Qaida and Usama bin Laden (UBL).

The U.S. is submitting both names to the United Nations 1267 Committee, which will consider adding them to the consolidated list of terrorists tied to al Qaida, UBL and the Taliban. Batterjee and al-Faqih are not linked to each other.

Today's action was taken pursuant to Executive Order 13224. The United States has now designated 396 individuals and entities as terrorists, their financiers or facilitators since September 2001. In addition, the global community has frozen over $144 million in terrorist-related assets.

Adel Abdul Jalil Batterjee served as the Executive Director and a member of the Board of Directors of Benevolence International Foundation (BIF), which was designated as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) by the Treasury in November 2002 for its support to al Qaida and UBL.

"Adel Batterjee has ranked as one of the world's foremost terrorist financiers, who employed his private wealth and a network of charitable fronts to bankroll the murderous agenda of al Qaida. A worldwide asset freeze, including in his home country of Saudi Arabia, will deal a serious blow to this key terrorist facilitator," said Stuart Levey, Treasury's Under Secretary for the Office of Terrorism and Financial Intelligence (TFI).

In the late 1980s, Batterjee founded the precursor to BIF, Lajnat al-Birr al-Islamiah (LBI), in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. LBI provided financial and operational support to mujahideen elements in Afghanistan and around the world, including fighters associated with UBL and Gulbuddin Hekmatyer, who was named a SDGT by the Treasury on February 18, 2003. LBI was affiliated with Maktab Al-Khidamat (MK), which was co-founded and financed by UBL and is the precursor organization of al Qaida. LBI later joined al Qaida upon the dissolution of MK.

In the early 1990s, LBI began operating under the name Benevolence International Foundation (BIF) in an effort to widen its appeal to the general public and increase its credibility with other governments. BIF and LBI remained one organization with interchangeable assets under Batterjee's control.

In 1993, Batterjee incorporated BIF in the United States, where it also provided financial and operational support to mujahideen fighters worldwide, including members of al Qaida in Afghanistan, the Sudan, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Chechnya. At one point, UBL confirmed to an associate that BIF was one of the non-governmental organizations providing funds to al Qaida.

According to information available to the U.S. Government, it was around that time that a BIF employee in the Sudan traveled to Saudi Arabia attempting to meet Batterjee. Instead, the employee reported he was detained and questioned by Saudi authorities regarding BIF links to UBL. Once released, he returned to the Sudan where he met with UBL and informed him of his detainment. As a result, BIF operations were curtailed for a period of time.

Batterjee subsequently resigned as Director of BIF and personally selected UBL confidant Enaam Arnaout to serve as the organization's head. Documents obtained by the U.S. Government demonstrate that Arnaout, while employed with LBI and BIF, worked with members of al Qaida to procure weapons for use in al Qaida training camps. While employed by Batterjee at LBI, Arnaout reported directly to Batterjee, which was outside the usual chain of command.

Batterjee remained active in BIF despite having officially resigned as Director. Evidence shows that Arnaout made an effort to conceal Batterjee's continued involvement in BIF. In 2002, when Arnaout learned that U.S. authorities were scrutinizing BIF's activities, he warned Batterjee through an intermediary against transferring funds to any BIF offices.

Evidence of BIF's ties to al Qaida surfaced in March 2002 searches by Bosnian authorities of the organization's Sarajevo offices. These searches uncovered numerous handwritten documents detailing the origin and history of the al Qaida organization. Among the recovered files was a copy of a 1988 handwritten draft listing wealthy financiers of UBL's mujahideen operations in Afghanistan, referred to within al Qaida as the "Golden Chain."

This list contains 20 names with a parenthetical after each name, likely indicating the person who received funds from the specified donor. "Usama" appears after seven of the listings and "Baterji" appears after an additional six listings.

Also uncovered from the Bosnian raid were photographs of Arnaout with UBL and an administrative diagram of UBL's close associates, along with cover names and assignments within al Qaida of mujahideen trained in Afghanistan.

In October 2002, Arnaout was indicted in the United States for operating BIF as a racketeering enterprise and providing material support to organizations, including al Qaida, that are engaged in violent activities. Batterjee was named as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the indictment. On February 10, 2003, Arnaout pled guilty to criminal racketeering conspiracy for diverting BIF funds to pay for supplies to armed jihadists in Bosnia and Chechnya.

Saad Rashed Mohammad al-Faqih has maintained associations with the al Qaida network since the mid-1990s, including an individual associated with the 1998 East Africa embassy bombings.

Al-Faqih has had contact with both UBL and Khaled al Fawwaz, who acted as UBL's de facto representative in the U.K. According to information available to the U.S. Government, al-Faqih and al Fawwaz shared an office in the late 1990s, and al-Faqih worked with and provided assistance to al Fawwaz, who served as the intermediary between UBL and al-Faqih.

Following the 1998 East African embassy bombings, al Fawwaz was arrested in the United Kingdom under an extradition request from the United States. At the U.S. trial of the East African embassy bombers, prosecutors provided evidence that al-Faqih paid for a satellite phone that al Fawwaz passed on to UBL, who allegedly used it to help carry out the attacks.

According to information available to the U.S. Government, al-Faqih was also associated with al Qaida member and fugitive Abu Musab al-Suri, a.k.a. Mustafa Nasar

Al-Faqih is head of the non-governmental organization Movement for Islamic Reform in Arabia (MIRA). Extremists utilize a website controlled by al-Faqih and MIRA to post al Qaida-related statements and images. While MIRA has issued disclaimers warning users to not attribute postings on MIRA message boards to al Qaida, information available to the U.S. and UK Governments shows that the messages are intended to provide ideological and financial support to al-Qaida affiliated networks and potential recruits. AQ-affiliated author, Lewis Attiyatullah, whose statements have been published on MIRA's website, has been directly associated with Al-Faqih for several years.

Batterjee and al-Faqih were designated today pursuant to Executive Order 13224 chiefly pursuant to paragraphs (d)(i) and (d)(ii) based on a determination that they assist in, sponsor or provide financial, material, or technological support for, or financial or other services to or in support of, or are otherwise associated with, persons listed as subject to E.O. 13224. Blocking actions serve additional functions as well, acting as a deterrent for non-designated parties who might otherwise be willing to finance terrorist activity; exposing terrorist financing "money trails" that may generate leads to previously unknown terrorist cells and financiers, disrupting terrorist financing networks by encouraging designated terrorist supporters to disassociate themselves from terrorist activity and renounce their affiliation with terrorist groups; terminating terrorist cash flows by shutting down the pipelines used to move terrorist-related assets; forcing terrorists to use alternative, more costly and higher-risk means of financing their activities; and engendering international cooperation and compliance with obligations under UN Security Council Resolutions.

FACT-FIDING TOUR REVEALS MANY CHURCHES FORCED TO CLOSE IN INDONESIA
Report Says: "Religious persecution in Indonesia both systemic and systematic"

BANDNG, INDONESIA (ANS) -- A Christian Freedom International fact-find mission to Indonesia reveals alarming and growing evidence of religious persecution against minority Christians.

According to Christian Freedom International president Jim Jacobson, "religious persecution targeting minority Christians in Indonesia, particularly in West Java, is both systemic and systematic."

Jacobson conducted a fact-finding mission to Indonesia, the world's largest Islamic nation, in September 2005, visiting numerous forcibly closed churches in West Java.

Christian Freedom International urges the Indonesia government to allow religious freedom, intervene and stop the forced shutdown of churches, and to denounce the radical Islamic group known as AGAP.

AGAP is an abbreviation for Aliansi Gerakan Ant Pemurtadan which translated into English means Anti-Apostasy Alliance Movement.

According to Jacobson, "AGAP has a mission to close churches and basically eradicate Christianity in Indonesia. They use fear, intimidation, threats, and obscure government regulations, in cooperation with local officials, to accomplish their goal."

The following is typical of the statements Christian Freedom International heard from members of closed down churches in and around Bandung.

"I was cleaning up after the 5:00 pm worship service," said Jacob. "AGAP came through the doors. These were not our neighbors, they were from the outside. More than 50 of them came into the church, wearing masks and carrying swords and backpacks of stones. I was so afraid."

"They were very angry," said Jacob. "They were shouting, 'Allah Akbar.' I went out to call for help from the neighbors and call the police to come. The police came but did nothing."

Jacob said, "The AGAP came in around 10:00 pm. They left at 3:00 am the next morning. They said this is the last time you can worship here. They said we must not worship here again."

At least 35 churches in Bandung and neighboring regions have had been closed by Islamic mobs during the past 12 months alone.
