TRANSCRIPT: Bill Bennett Interview on Hannity & Colmes Regarding Race/Crime (Colmes shamed)

Your theory defies logic from multiple angles.

Do those negative attitudes exist in Hiphop? Yes, but that doesn't represent the majority of the culture and to condemn it by calling it destructive is equal to condemning the entire motion picture industry because of violent films, with no regard to dramas, documentaries, and family movies.

Violence and crime existed before Hiphop. For years heavy metal music was blamed for suicides and other violence associtated to white kids in the surburbs, just ask Marilyn Manson.

Povery & crime is directly linked to poor education and a lack of viable employment opportunities. Those are the real issues that people of all races want for themselves and their families and the focus should be on improving those conditions.

"So what where they so upset about?"

Couple of thoughts on that one. First of all, lets be honest, they aren't REALLY upset. Of course they say they are and will act that way, but what they really are is eager to pound on the conservative BB because he said something that is not sensitive to the black population. This is just another opportunity, generated by their hyper sensitivity, to pound a conservative with overwhelming passion and emotion AND to make sure no one every suggests something like that again.

To me however what BB brought up and immediately condemned is just simple math. Right now, for reasons that are hotly debated, the %'age of blacks committing crimes is high. Not racist, but facts. As morally disgusting as it is, the simple fact is that if you kill enough black babies through abortion, eventually you simply won't have as many black and OBVIOUSLY the crime right would go down. It's just math. I'm a big time law & order guy and would NEVER suggest that as a means to fight crime. Never. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't work.

What continues to bother me is the rabid attacks on people like BB whose big crime here is to reference the well documented fact that blacks commit crimes, rather than attacking the destruction of the family, particularly among the black community.

It is just my opinion, but the same people screaming at BB right now are the same ones who benefit from keeping the status quo in place.

Just a thought.
