(09-29) 9:24 PDT FORT ROSS -- The body of a Santa Rosa motorcyclist missing since Sept. 19 has been found along with her bike several hundred feet down a cliff off Highway 1 in Sonoma County, police said.
Melinda Moore, 40, an avid biker and student at Santa Rosa Junior College, had last been seen by her fiance when she left the Santa Rosa home the couple shared.
On Wednesday, a caller told police he had found a motorcycle helmet that day that matched the description of Moore's. He found the helmet on a rock alongside Highway 1 about 3 miles south of Fort Ross, Santa Rosa police said.

Another victim of female midlife crisis. Too much bike for a 40-year-old trying to act 20.
How awful!
Hooligan List PING.
Highway One is a risky place to ride, even if your mind is 100% on what you are doing. Even in a car you have to be really careful - because the views are terribly distracting.
And you know this how?
FYI
I've ridden that road several times. In some parts there is very little, if any, room for error and it is a loooooong way down that cliff to the rocks below. But it is absolutely beautiful!!!!
May she rest in piece.
Too much speed for canyon's...it happens in cars too with people way too often.
Here is a story about a young MR2 owner.

It can happen to anyone deciding to push the limits of canyon speeds.
Very sad.
Bikers don't fare well in America.
RIP
I think he connected the dots ...
I find this comment insulting and demeaning to the memory of a woman who, obviously, enjoyed her life to the fullest. I can only infer from your comment that you do not ride and have no idea what you are talking about. There are dozens of things that could have caused this accident that were no fault of the rider including being run off of the road by a careless and/or heartless cage operator.
I can attest to that. My knuckles were white from driving that road, but it is beautiful.
Well put
Of course you'll want to retract that soon enough.
I'd guess she was run off the road.
How very sad. I'm glad they found her, at least.
Agreed.
Yeah, me too.
Now that's a classy thing to write about a woman who's lost her life . . .
