Bennett's toast. Next.
How could he be toast...he holds no public job. Besides, everyone who has read his entire comments knows he is exactly correct. I think the days of the politically correct MSM and Dems are over. They are now being forced to back-track on Katrina exagerations (especially in light of the news about the NO police department), and it looks like the same will happen vis-a-vis Tom DeLay. They already had to pull their ads and talking points about John Roberts, and of course who can forget both the Wellstone memorial and Rathergate. No, I would say Bill Bennitt will do just fine as long as all on the 'Right Side" are not intimidated by the idiots on MSMBC and the rest.
Maybe. But at least he's fighting back, instead of running with his tail between his legs.
Maybe 10 years ago he would have been, but not today. He's no racist. The real racists are those who support abortion to reduce the black population -- which was among the reasons that Planned Parenthood was founded.
Bennett will be fine so long as he stands up to the idiots attacking him, which I think he will.
What he said is true, and there's nothing to apologize for.
"Bennett's toast. Next."
Are you referring to it being Bennett's turn to toast?
Bennett will be toasting the town as his listening audience will now increase exponentially.
One can only wonder why a GOP president couldn't nominate a "throw-away" Supreme Court nominee who would spend his entire session before the Senate judiciary committee making statements like this.
Bennett ain't toast, either -- in fact, his radio comments have generated more publicity for himself than he could have paid for. To be honest with you, until yesterday I had no idea the guy even had a radio show.
Depends on your definition of "toast". I remember when Pat Buchanan quoted crime statistics to make the point that if you eliminated all violent crimes committed by identified ethnic minorities, America would look a lot like Europe. Buchanan never formally "apologized" for that remark, but he "rehabilitated" himself in the eyes of the MSM by becoming a vocal critic of President Bush. So I suppose Bill Bennett could restore his media credibility by finding a point of disagreement with the President, and noisily trumpeting it in front of the MSM. Bill may ultimately lose his radio gig (not based on ratings, sadly, but on advertiser fear factor), but he will always have think tanks, talk show guest spots and books to fall back on. Hardly "toast".
Odds are you're correct.
Oops, I thought I was in the casino with Bill.
The sad truth is that the majority of abortions are performed on black females. There is a new theory out there that the national crime rate is down because of all of the black abortions performed 20 years ago. Have you heard that one? Check out orneryamerican.com. If only marginally true, that would irritate the RATs even more.
