Anderson Cooper just reported a story that 14 dogs, brought to an evacuation center by their owners in St. Bernard Parish, were shot to death after their owners were taken out of the city.
The type of bullets used are commonly used by St. Bernard Parish officers, said Sheriff Jack Stephens. He couldn't verify that his officers did it, but he is investigating.
Many of the dogs were tied up, and shot only once or twice. Most had bled to death. Some had tried to flee after being shot, as their ties were almost chewed in half.
Another incident in St. Bernard is also being reported by CNN involving the mass shooting of animals.
The shots on CNN were graphic.
Police brutality to the most innocent of the evacuees.
To keep things in perspective, growling at a police dog can bring felony criminal "assault on a police officer" charges against a peasant.
I am shaking with rage! I want these hideous monstors prosecuted to the FULLEST extent of the law and if they are police.....they should be removed. Let's get the Feds in there to prosecute...we've done it before in this country. And please don't flame me about local/state rights. NO and LA have already ABDICATED these rights!!
I am still enraged and wished I had never seen this thread!
Irrelevant.
I'm familiar with the case, and the "peasant" was a smart ass who also mouthed off to a human officer.
dogs don't shoot back........looters might
There was room in the truck to take the dogs, said one of the evacuees, but they were told they couldn't bring them.
There is something wrong with law enforcement in southern Louisiana. Seriously wrong.
It's not like he lined up a bunch of police dogs and shot them, however. Here, though, the police lined up - tied up - a bunch of peasant dogs and shot them. There are no standards like double standards.
nothin new .. look at this thread and see the video of
the national guard saving the dogs and sgt. Mike
following a few blocks down killing the dogs the national guard fed and gave water.

And you're just a blatherskite. But I wouldn't shoot you, even if you deserved it.
I think my future travel plans will not include Louisiana.
After all the parish president lied on Meet The Press, then came back three weeks later, and lied again!
Law enforcement in LA is just a bunch of corrupt thugs that rape, steal and kill! Check out the stories BEFORE Katrina. Get the Federal Prosecuters and the Attorney General and clean up this rats nest! I am not paying 250 billion to these monstors and a system that gives them trips to Vegas! ( and that includes all the police who aren't even working there but are on the salary books ).
Disgusting!
Oh, yeah, I suppose there are a few good police officers. So what? If no one in NO ever demanded better? Get the Attorney General in there before we spend one dime of Fed money!
"the "peasant" was a smart ass who also mouthed off to a human officer."
"Mouthing off" is NOT a criminal offense - and especially not when it is done to a government official. At that time, it becomes the REAL reason for the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.
Restricting the speech would make it a FEDERAL OFFENSE commited by the police.
But, thanks for the bump anyway.
Yeah they are a bunch of cretin scumbags straight out of the movie Deliverance.
I really loved the mayor of Galveston who said pets could go with their owners. The police werent happy about it but the mayor won out and everyone followed her lead!! You didnt see nearly as many stray animals in the hardest hit areas of Texas.
So they shoot dogs in NO instead of looters? There goes my dream of taking my two dogs to Antoine's. However I might still be able to pick up a Plasma TV...cheap!
I am still enraged and wished I had never seen this thread!
Yeah its revolting to know it's actually happening.
