Chief Justice Roberts, you shall continue to have our prayers.

John Roberts is a Catholic (Catholic) like the Pope (the Pope) who is from Germany (Germany)...

I pray to God that he doesn't change with his office.

I know but, even so, saying it afterward is pretty ballsy in today's bizarro world. I like it...(:

(Congrats, Mr. Chief Justice)
To: Aussie Dasher
Our prayers will continue with him. And I still think hesitant conservatives are going to be very pleasantly surprised.

Ok, Geogre, we got our heavyweight intellectual quarterback for Chief Justice. Now lets get him another receiver to throw to.

Somehow, he doesn't strike me as a "cafeteria Catholic".
I disagree with the Roman Catholic Church (as opposed to the liberal American branch) on a great many matters, but the moral and ethical code that they promote is laudable. We could do far, far worse than a conservative Catholic, and I'm not really sure we could have done better.

My comment was referencing a Rush parody.

I know, but I thought I'd use it as a springboard for my post.
The liberals are in for 35 years of pure Hell if Bush can get another conservative rammed through.

Concluding his remarks he thanked his supporters for their prayers and asked for their continued prayer support. "Over the past ten weeks, many people who I did not know came up to me and offered encouragement and support. Many of them told me that I and my family was in their prayers and in their hopes. I want to thank all of those people. I will need in the months and years ahead that encouragement and those prayers.," he said.I'm sure Judge Roberts sent the RATS into a tailspin when he said the word "prayer" 4 times in his acceptance speech. LOL I think I'm REALLY going to like this guy. :o)
