All the other ideas are forced on classes, why is this idea so different??

Because in this case it is teaching the students concepts that are fundamentally dishonest. Specifically, it is teaching students that there is a "controversy" within mainstream biology with regards to evolution (there is not) and that Intelligent Design is a viable alternative scientific explanation (it is not scientific).

Would you consider it acceptable to teach holocaust denial as an "alternative" to popular historical beliefs?

God forbid a religious idea should come into a school.

Everyone knows Christians should be nice little socialists and pretend God doesn't exist once they cross the doors of a state school. Act one way in school, then another at home. This way the state can encourage tha they become nice little hypocrites.

I missed the part of the verse at the end where it says, "unless you are in a public school".
