The indictment was what he needed to bring Delay down.

Dick DeGuerin, one of the best defense lawyers in the nation, will represent DeLay, and he just said he is pressing to have the case heard before the end of the year.

If DeLay wins, he will win re-election to the House in a walk.

Judge Nepolitano is on Brit's show right now explaining how even if Delay is guilty of what is charged, the law is so vague that it may be hard to prove anything. From what I also understood, there were two bank accounts for the national level and the state level...and trying to prove what came from where seems like it's going to be mighty difficult to chore.

What on earth was he trying to convict Kay Baily Hutchinson for?

IIRC, one of the charges was assaulting a subordinate when she was state treasurer.

If he chooses to run. A man can only take so much, this may be enough to send him into a rich political 'retirement'.

DeLay is not going to allow Ronnie Earle run him off.

No, DeLay will go out on his own terms.

Re: Kay Bailey Hutchison fishing expedition:
There was some fiction regarding Senator Hutchison's telephone records when she was state treasurer. The charges were found to be exactly that - a fiction.
This is typical Ronnie Earle. Typical Travis County (Texas FReepers, does Travis County still have that lesbian as sherriff? I know a lot of deputies in Travis County do not think much of Earle.). At this point my only business with any entity in Travis County is the annual renewal of my Texas Professional Engineer's license.

Ronnie Earle is a jerk, no doubt about it, but I wonder how much of a hand How-weird Dean has had in this. Remember, The Screamer has gone out of his way to trash Tom DeLay on numerous occasions.

When are we going to start fighting fire with fire, instead of sticking to the Marquis of Queensbury rules? Any fight with the RATs is a street fight, and the ONLY thing that matters is who wins.

I think it's time to 'take down' Ronnie Earle. His career of trying to ruin Republican careers is a disgrace. How about getting a grassroots movement going to oust him from being anything but an ambulance chaser? He should be disbarred.
