Travis County Texas(i.e liberal Austin).

The fishing expedition by the hippie DA produced one freaking charge.

Earle is a Democrat. All roads in Travis County lead you know where... and the jury labored and labored and all the prosecutor got is ONE count of criminal conspiracy?? He still has to prove one exists and an indictment is NOT a conviction.

(Denny Crane: "Sometimes you can only look for answers from God and failing that... and Fox News".)

It will be interesting to see the charges - I have never seen anything that tied him clearly to money laundering.

Yes. He has a long history of persecuting...and prosecuting...political opponents.

No doubt, though, Delay will have to step down until this is cleared up. The leaders have stood by him as long as he wasn't indicted. Now he'll have to do everything he can to get the trial scheduled quickly.

I hate to see him go. He made the trains run on time. (Lurkers: Mussoline jokes would be way too predictable to be funny!)

Earl went after Senator Hutchinson.

That was a politically motivated.

We need to send this to fox to get the facts out.

Democrats playing hardball. Next step in this process is for the Republicans to acquiesce quietly and slink away with their tail between their legs. Move along. Nothing to see here.

I would really like the GOP to grow a spine and stand on something, but that is just wishful thinking.

And that won't keep me warm after Hitlery is sworn in/sacarsm.

Is this the same prosecutor that's been after Delay for years?

Ronnie Earle is the same Travis County DA who indicted in 1993 Kay Bailey Hutchison shortly after her election to the Senate.

As the trial was about to begin, Earle dropped all charges.

IOW, this guy has a reputation for showboat indictments against prominent Republicans.

My prediction: this will also never come to trial.

It's Ronnie Earl, and yes, he does have a history of going after Republicans for partisan political motives. SOP for him.

This is Texas partisan politics at its sleaziest, No convictions or any real wrong doing will every come from these indictments. But I bet the RAT prosecuter gets a big status boost within the party.

I hope this gets the Republicans off their ass and they now go after Schumer for those illegal credit reports and Pelosi because she had even deeper ties to that lobbyist than DeLay had.

God help our country. The dims are determined to ruin our way of living in the United States or America. They have msm on their side, they have uninformed people who they pander to and it is a disgrace.

Abe Lincoln was correct. The death of our country will be the enemy within our country.
