It's Ronnie Earl, and yes, he does have a history of going after Republicans for partisan political motives. SOP for him.

Can we get some examples of his "history of going after Republicans for partisan political motives"? The only references I can dig up on his prosecution of elected officials shows 12 democrats and 3 republicans indicted...

I'm not saying he's not partisan, but if those are the only numbers I see, then I'd be inclined to say he's hardly acting like a partisan democrat.

Got facts? Every rundown I've seen of his political corruption prosecutions shows that the VAST majority of politicians he has pursued have been Dims.

I know folks don't like to let facts get in the way of a good attack line, but unless you can support the charge that Earle selectively prosecutes Republicans, you shouldn't make it. And I don't think you can support it.

I don't know whether Delay did anything or not. But to claim that this happened only because of a prosecutor who only goes after GOPers is to be completely divorced from reality.
