I watched Prissy Chrisy on C-Span last night berating a much more accomplished man, Michael Brown.
Chrisy's "aides" boys sitting behind him were an interesting pair....:0)


It was kind like seeing John Roberts decimate all the senators to as-clowns, when Mike Brown lectured these con-critters as well, Chris. was an embarrassment for the republicans, yet did he NOT showed the same acts during the clinton's impeachment???

Elodia's black, but her husband Juan (dead since he was murdered in 2000) may have been somehow related to the Gov's hubby.

The Elodia Blanco in question, who is a recruiter for the NOLA PD and a community enviro-activist, is 54 and has lived in NOLA for at least 25 years.

One of her daughters, Melika Thornton, is 31 and a survivor of breast cancer which she contracted at age 12 (or 14, depending on which online article you find). Both she and her mother are shown as living on Benefit St. in NOLA.

The Juan Blanco who lived in Orange Walk district, Belize, and was murdered there in 2000, was only 29. I really doubt that the Elodia listed as his widow is the same one. There are also 9 more in the US as well.

As far as the Nagin story concerning his living in Dallas, he came out and refuted the "fact" that he had *bought* a condo there.

It was several days after the first story ran, during the storm chaos, that he "explained" that his wife and daughter had evacuated to the wife's brother's home in Dallas. His other two children, two sons, are 18 and 20, so I guess they live somewhere else or are in college somewhere.

When school started in Dallas, Nagin's 5-yo daughter enrolled in school there, so Nagin went to Dallas and *leased* a townhome, he said, because there were 15 people "staying" (don't know if that means "living" or just "staying while evacuated"--dialect there in NOLA sometimes uses "stay" for "reside") at the BIL's home.

Nagin's wife, Seletha, was maiden named Smith, so I don't know how to check out who her brother might be, namewise. Nagin was born at Charity Hospital in NOLA and all his bios say that Seletha was a childhood friend of his, so she must be from NOLA, too.

Seems like he lives/lived/stays/stayed in Marrero, on the West Bank (Jeff. Parish), but I didn't find any property records for him there. Orleans Parish clerk website is "down" and not accessible. It says "out for hurricane," but the referring page, lol, is titled "mayornola.blighted" and comes up "error." (Either someone has a sense of humor or it has been hacked.)

The "phantom" police officers were never there: Why/how prosecute them? They don't exist.

You prosecute the CRIMINALS (politicians!) who padded the NOLA payroll with people who didn't exist.

By the way.

How many actual people in the ninth ward (and elsewhere) in NOLA actually exist? How many double/triple welfare receipt. were getting multiple checks per household?

Thank you for the information about Kurtis's show on the NOPD. It sounded interesting, so I did a web search which led back to used2BDem's post #46 here

But not surprising. A & E had an "Investigative Reports" with Bill Kurtis on this morning called "Cops or Criminals", ABOUT the NOPD. It was pre-Katrina and a scathing condemnation of all the corruption within the PD.

The people he (Nagin) sent on expensive R&R trips to Atlanta and Las Vegas WERE PROPBABLY the ones in the middle of the scandal: If out of town, they are paid off to not say something, and if out of town, aren't available to be interviewed.

Nothing like a little flooding to flush out all the rats and slime behind the walls. There needs to be some serious reordering and prosecution before dollar one is poured into that corrupt cesspool.

I'm not sure that this matters, but I had dropped my wife off at work September 6th...

And after doing so I was headed south on 288 (south of Houston) just before Beltway 8, and was passed by a New Orleans Police "Supervisor" suburban vehicle headed in the same direction...

As far as I know he kept heading south on 288 as I proceeded to get on the Beltway...This was about 7:15am that morning...

I'm not sure what else to say other than that I did notice it, and that directly behind us in that area was the Astrodome, where they placed alot of the N.O. folks displaced after the storm, but before the situation got bad at the Superdome in N.O.

If this person was an actual P.O. (supervisor) from N.O., I have to wonder why he was trucking south away from where these folks were at the Astrodome...

Should I contact the FBI and give them this tidbit of info???

Not that I think it'll matter, but it sure is curious though...
