BAGHDAD AND CAIRO – In a succession of intelligence breaks, the US says it has killed two key members of Al Qaeda in Iraq in recent days, including the organization's No. 2 man who is suspected of orchestrating a series of suicide bombings in Baghdad since April. According to American military officials, the US has either made key arrests or developed informants who have led to a cascade of actionable intelligence over the past month. Since the middle of August, the US has reported killing or capturing at least 16 members of Al Qaeda in Iraq, led by the Jordanian militant Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Militant Islamist groups like Zarqawi's, which share Osama bin Laden's vision of creating a global Sunni caliphate that would rule in the style of 7th century Arabia,

Their vision for the world, yet liberals and democrats think everything would be OK if we would just be more sensitive to them...

When and how does it end? Do you really think we can kill all of the terrorists? There are millions of them. They will attack our troops until the day we leave Iraq, and then they will attack the whatever government we leave behind. That's easy to predict. It's reality.

Its easy to replace the murderers who wear the belts. Its harder to replace the murderers who make the belts. And even harder to replace the murderers who plan what the belt wearers should do and most hard of all to replace the guys who motivated and recruit guys to wear the belts.

Nothing is endless. As of now they could not have more than 1.5x109 of them.

"We are probably at the point of impacting about 80 percent of that network in terms of detaining, capturing, killing the leadership, and disrupting their resources, and disrupting their support bases and neutralizing their capability,'

80%???? Wow, that's even better than I thought. It is obvious that we are getting many more informants than before and drip drip drip - the AQ terrorists are getting killed or captured.

That's just bluster. Israel has been killing the belt-makers for years, and Hamas is still there, still attacking. Besides, it isn't belts in Iraq, it's IED's. Iran is financing much of it. We do not have the forces to attack Iran - almost all of our resources are tied up in the wars we are fighting now.

I think you are wrong. If you were right, they wouldn't have to keep getting younger and more inexpienced recruits.

You're right. We should just give up and wait to see what happens.

Sheesh. You really need a different screen name.....

Foreigners are coming in. Iran is a huge source and so is Syria and even Palestine. Why do you think we have been fighting at the borders recently. There is an endless supply of muslim radicals who want to kill Americans. They will keep recruiting them and sending them in just as they did in Afghanistan.

It's a meat grinder and will remain that way until the day we leave.

I would urge anyone that still does not visit Bill Roggio's Fourth Rail web site to take this yet again oppurtunity to bookmark it. There are a string of articles that one may find rather interesting. Where a WP,LAT,NYT etc., article may on occasions hint at our sides success, this site often provides detailed accounts of how we are eradicating the Jihadist movement in Iraq. In short, no spin found here as far as I can see.

So, instead of addressing the problem, and it is a real one, you chime in with an insult. How intellectual... Bravo!
