Live conference...
TRUE.
He was not effective during the storm, it was not his first priority nor assignment. He believed the plans the governor told him were in place. Only too late did he find out they were not.
He did his best to give people somewhere to get shelter.
He also did his best to get the white folk out of the way when plans went sour.
There is much that is being left out by the media , the timeline, the takeover of the buses from the HOTEL for the SUPERDOME, etc.
I notice no one is questioning why this occurred.
Keep in mind that Mary used to be LA Treasurer in the late 90's. If ANYBODY's going to jail over financial corruption in LA, the trail will lead directly to her.
Just one more example that Clinton's presidency was all smoke and mirrors. Like the "great economy" that turned out to be driven by the dot com illusion.
The old story "The Emperor Without Any Clothes" could have been written as perfect political satire describing the Clinton presidency and his continued popularity.
Thanks- I'm on pins and needles waiting for the rest of this to come out.
thanks..starting to make sense..he resigns..puts in his papers..maybe he can hang onto his pension..
I can't imagine how the voters of Louisiana are just standing by while these criminals and incompetents go on fleecing the sate of Louisiana. That horrible, useless governor Blanco is directly responsible for the deaths of innocent civilians, as is Senator Mary Landrieu and Mayor Ray Nagin. These people should be in jail rotting away with the rest of the Democrat party scum!!!
I didn't know that Nagin had said those things about Pres. Bush on Oprah. Oh, I hope he goes down and fast. It could of been a whole different story if he and Blanco hadn't started the blame game even before Katrina had left the vicinty.
We had a list of all the officials and cops arrested for murder and other reasons... it was unbelievable.
I'm trying to find it, we need it now.
Russert was excusing Broussard of all people. We knew that from how he let him bloviate... but at least he asked the questions.
Thanks, but he did ask the questions.
Broussard, Nagin and Compass all went to the same school.
LOL
WOW, It's no wonder that both the governor and mayor didn't want the feds in their city!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry. Did not mean to be rude....
He had to know the feds were snooping around and then Tony lets out a little teaser....and before ya know, he resigns...
The part that doesn't sound right is that they had that few number of cops
This whole mess reminds me of scenes of the South after the Civil War in 'Gone with the Wind'. Looks like N.O. is just a bunch of home-grown carpet baggers and incompetents.
That's okay kiddo..
Hmm I haven't' seen Hillary there.... :-)
Rush actually retracted the story the day after because he couldn't confirm it and was by then getting contradictory information.
