The press is in serious CYA mode because they know that they are largely culpable in this situation...but have been congratulating incessantly about how great a job they did with this coverage. It has been downright disgusting.
Quite frankly, this is going to cause blowback...but its going to be on the head of the press, and local LA politicians.
