Well, the way I've read that verse means that there should be no reason for either spouse to dishonor their marriage vows and cause eventual havoc for their families.

I believe in choice...Hubby can stay in the 40% faithful category, or he can become a death statistic, it's all up to him.

Correct, there is no just reason for breaking your vows. But one spouse should not deny the other, except by mutual agreement for a time devoted to prayer. But if this time goes on too long, it says we will be tempted because of my lack of self control (I admit). I have actually had to call my wife on this point, after several months, that if she didn't fulfill her end of the agreement, I may give into my lack of self control and go elsewhere. It hurts me, that I would actually have to demand such a thing and she doesn't desire me in that way. I know many other men with a similar situation. If I didn't have the guts to demand, many men don't, I can understand them looking for sex elsewhere.

I'm not defending infidelity, but it's a two sided coin. Both sides need to work at making it work.

IMO, women are overwhelmed with jobs, kids, homework, housework, dinner, etc. They need kindness, understanding, and help. I don't know your circumstances, but dating regularly while married can help to bring romance back to a woman.

This is a new phenomena. I read about it in a book. It was rampant in there.

The book was the bible.

Keep up the reading program. It's not all Solomon and Bathsheeba.

You'll find the section on Sodom and Gomhorra of particular interest.

I know I have needs (sexual) and she has needs (emotional), and I'm sure that I don't fulfil her needs and she doesn't always fulfill mine, but you need to keep working on it, and understand that most of the time we can not fulfill everything. But once in a while you have to or else we will find that fulfillment elsewhere.

If you ask me, women use that housework kids dinner I'm so tired excuse for not wanting intimacy far too often. I work, I get then kids ready for bed, I wake the kids up and get them ready for school, I do laundry, I do dishes, etc. and on top of that, I fix the cars, mow the land, do house repairs, and other traditional 'man' jobs without assuming that the wife should chip in, yet I still have energy to devote to the relationship.

As for you, Keep reading, you will find many parts interesting.

Nothing is new in the world, sin is as old as sin.

My sister-in-law is a full-time nurse who gets up at 5:00, is exhausted by 8:00 pm, and goes to bed. My brother does much of the housework and takes complete charge of the homework detail and studying for tests, etc. He's the one who calls teachers when there is a problem. He gets the kids up and ready for school. He's also an assistant soccer coach and does all the outside work too, which is extensive since they live out in the country and own acres.

He still finds time to take her out regularly on dates, and it seems to be working out well. Women liked to be romanced.

Reagan was divorced before he got involved with Nancy who he later married. He wasn't chasing after every woman that caught his eye, like Clinton (and only God knows the total there). There is NO, and I repeat NO, comparison.
