My experience of the MSM is that they are the most racist of people.

Houston Media had a panic attack with Rita, which helped no one.

The leftwing media writes another mythical script for ignorant Americans to follow and believe.

I was on the thread about the rape, murder and mutilation of the little girl at the Superdome. It was a sickening story that appeared in the Guardian.
I am on record as saying it was probably not true. I cautioned everyone do not believe this until you see the bodies for yourself. I had already read that the gunshots at the rescue helicopters was a fabricated story which actually stopped rescue efforts for a few hours.
I was blasted bigtime by Freepers. I was freep mailed numerous links and told not to be so cynical. Everyone had heard the same story and knew it was true. Many people got suckered into believing it all because Nagin said so, or CNN reported, or Fox News said it too.
I think the media was at its lowest point in history. They were all patting themselves on the back and what they really did was set themselves up as an accomplice to the deaths of many trying to get rescued.
I never believe anything reported by the any media until I see outright proof.

What amazes me is that we as a population are letting this slide.
The first reporters of these non-existent atrocities need to be identified. Public officials who made sensastional or inflammatory comments and statements need to be held accountable.
For the life of me, I cannot figure out why we as a nation are not outraged...Incensed at this.
Allegations of media bias begin to sound like beating the same dead horse, no matter how true it is. I feel like we conservatives have been crying foul on the media for so long, now that they do something completely unconscionable, we've become desensitized to it and fail to build this issue into what it really is: Unequivocable proof that the major media (including Fox News) is either completely incompetent at best and treasonous at worst.

The nanny state has produced a class of people who cannot function on their own. They have no sense of, or desire to accept personal responsibility for their own welfare, safety or preparedness.
It was shattering to witness the rugged individual American who once was, but now denigrated into what I witnessed in a major disaster. I have again been forewarned and proved to me, depend on no one but yourself for all you and yours needs in emergencies. If I then fail, I have no one to blame but myself, for the government cannot possibly be of assistance for days, if not weeks or months after the event.

I lost my respect for Shepard Smith after watching his overwrought, personalized "performance" on Fox. And I never HAD any respect for Geraldo. As for the others, who cares?
This was a shoddy, sorry day for American journalism. Yet, a month later, they turned around and did the same thing with Hurricane Rita.
The news industry is beyond redemption.

Never forget that MSM is business, BIG BUSINESS. They want a juicy story to SELL. This is what they do. The bigger, the juicier the better and yet, they promote themselves as unbiased, altruistic, humanists who are there just to get the story (whatever it takes) and stay above the fray.
Pleeeeeezzz, journalists are people with agendas out to make a buck. It's as simple as that.

The MSM runs stuff all the time without corroboration.
Captain Janks who plays his phony phone calls on Howard Stern says he does it to show how hungry they are for a scoop.
Most of the time they just put him on without checking if he is legitimate. When they do call back, they are so stupid that they don't realize that his area code doesn't match up to where he says he is calling from.
