Artists & Lecture Series: Ward Churchill 7:30 pm • SCC Gym Ward Churchill (Keetoowah Band Cherokee) is one of the most outspoken of Native American activists and scholars in North America and a leading analyst of indigenous issues. He is a Professor of Ethnic Studies and Coordinator of American Indian Studies at the University of Colorado. Churchill serves as Associate Director of the Center for Studies of Ethnicity and Race in America at the institution. He is also co-director of the Colorado chapter of the American Indian Movement and vice chair of the American Indian Anti-Defamation Council.

[snort] Now ~that's~ funny. :-)
I heard John Carlson's interview of her....it mainly served to reaffirm my preexisting opinion of the current state of 'higher education' in Washington (it's rarely as the name implies).
John tried to get a straight answer out of her on several points and for someone who was a 'spokeperson' for the college in this matter she was breathtakingly evasive, inept and ill-informed....just what I would expect from someone in her position.
