Monday, Sept. 26, 2005 7:39 p.m. EDT Bill Maher: Laura Bush Like 'Hitler's Dog'
HBO "Real Time" host Bill Maher compared First Lady Laura Bush to "Hitler's dog" during his Friday night cablecast, after flashing a parody photo of Mrs. Bush with a black eye, as if she'd been a victim of domestic abuse.
After the photo display, Maher was challenged by guest panelist Christopher Hitchens, who told him: "It must be to [George Bush's] credit he got Laura Bush to marry him. She's an absolutely extraordinary woman."
To that, Maher replied: "Oh, come on. That's like Hitler's dog loved him. That is the silliest reason. ..."
"I think tomorrow you might be sorry you said that. Laura Bush is very gentle and talented," Hitchens warned.
With that Maher retreated a bit, insisting: "That's not what I'm saying, of course she is. But the idea that we somehow humanize any person because somebody else loves them is
ridiculous."
The outrageous exchange, reported exclusively by NewsMax contributor Steve Malzberg in his latest column, "Laura Bush and Hitler's Dog" - wasn't the worst to come from Maher's show lately.
The week before, "Real Time" guest George Carlin announced that he had a pet name for former first lady Barbara Bush.
"The Silver D - - - - e bag, I call her," Carlin announced as Maher's audience erupted in laughter.

George Carlin forever exposed himself for the fraud, he is when he published and open letter to Andrew Dice Clay.
Carlin's whole shtick and self righteous claim to fame, is his opposition to censorship. He mocks and ridicules anyone who objects to profanity and indecency.
In one of the great acts of public hypocrisy he condemns Andrew Dice Clay for profanely making fun of certain "protected" groups the left worships, and if that is not pathetic enough he says something to the effect that as a Jew Andrew Dice Clay should know better.

Why would any Conservative EVER go on big nose Bill Maher's show? It's like a Marxist pep rally. His audience is to the left of Castro. Big nose just panders to them.
Bill Maher is a frustrated exhibitionist who really wants to masturbate in public but settles for dropping the F-bomb on his punk ass TV show. He goes home to watch his show while reliving his mother's shouts that he will go blind if he doesn't stop playing with his peepee.

Title (as usual) is quite a bit misleading. He didnt say what you claim he said.
Well, do not be mystified at all, 'cause in both cases it is about the First Amendment's freedom of speech clause.
If any one muzzles Maher for his antics, it is just as right to muzzle Ann, in attacking the Left and grilled them to shreds!
It goes both ways as you know.
I, really do not believe that Mrs. Coulter is a genuine friend of Maher, although both of them have a common cause "The First Amendment".
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
OTOH you as the regular Joe Six-pack can censure anybody or any show you deem it is offensive to your taste!
The reason people didn't talk like this 100 years ago was the next question put to them would be whether they prefer the pistol or the sabre.
