Over the Weekend President George W Bush concluded a 3 day visit to various Command Centres relating to Hurricane Katrina and Rita returning to the White House Sunday afternoon.

Vice President Dick Cheney was admitted to the hospital for the elective surgery on his knees. It was announced after doing both knees (originally only one was to be done but surgery went so smoothly it was decided to do the other) that he might be in hopital for up to 48 hours, in fact he was only in for 27 hours and walked without any assistance to his limo early Sunday morning.

Today President Bush attended briefings with Interior Secretary Gale Norton and Energy Secretary Samuel Bodman and also delivers a Statement at the Department of Energy in Washington

Today it was expected that the Vice President would continue his recovery from his Saturday's surgery by working from home.

Today Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice had private meetings at the State Department with East Timor Prime Minister Mari Bin Amude Alkatiri, Malaysia's Minister of Foreign Affairs Syed Hamid bin Syed Jaafar Albar and Brazil's Minister of Foreign Affairs Celso Amorim

I've read all of her books and think she is very sharp witted, but I find her lacking common sense. She often writes about her admiration for scumbags like Bill Maher or some other left wing nutjob... That tells me she lacks principles, and her latest rantings over judge Roberts is simply unexplainable considering the big name Conservatives who are supporting Roberts 100%.

Is Robert Bork misguided?

What I think she is thinking is that we don't have enough of a record on John Roberts, So she equates him with GHWB's pick of Justice Suiter that John Sanunu recommended. Roberts is no Suiter

I just can't see Levin or Bork backing someone they didn't think there was enough info on. Ann might have had a point in the beginning to be cautious but too many very knowledgeable people are backing him now.

I think Roberts is the real deal.
Even at 80% still can't complain.

Someone who may be more openly conservative is going
to have more problems getting the votes.

The all or nothing crowd needs to grow up.

Time will tell, But I have way too much respect for Ted Olsen and Mark Levin to side with Ann on this one.

The simple fact that John Roberts never had to look down at the table at notes for his responses to those Democrat buffoons on the Judiciary Committee was enough for me alone. The fact is..... Nobody on the Committee was a match for Roberts, they were simply inferior

Why has Maher ever had ANY television shows? He isn't funny, he isn't pretty, and he isn't particularly intelligent.

He is nasty and beligerant, and apparently there is a market for that.
