They can't mess with Derek Jeter. God is obviously a Yankee fan. Our next championship will give us 27 which is three times as many as the St. Louis Cardinals who are next in line with 9.
Additionally, Jeter is as Irish as he is black.
For football fans, Derek Jeter is the nephew of former New York Football Giants standout Gary Jeter.

Jeter is as much white as he is black, probably a little bit more. That's one thing that bugs me about the whole "race game", especially when it comes to statistics. For instance, the recent news about Texas having a "minority-majority" fails to take mixed-ethnicity births into account. My friend has a child who is still counted as "hispanic", but my friend's dad is half-Irish/half Mexican ancestry, and her mom is a green-eyed, light-haired of Mexican ancestry. Her husband is Scots-Irish.
