That's one thing that bugs me about the whole "race game", especially when it comes to statistics. For instance, the recent news about Texas having a "minority-majority" fails to take mixed-ethnicity births into account. My friend has a child who is still counted as "hispanic", but my friend's dad is half-Irish/half Mexican ancestry, and her mom is a green-eyed, light-haired of Mexican ancestry. Her husband is Scots-Irish.
