NEW YORK (AP) -- Yankees star Derek Jeter is the latest athlete to receive a threatening letter warning him to stop dating white women.
The letter was mailed to Jeter at Yankee Stadium and called him a ``traitor to his race,'' according to a story in Monday's editions of the Daily News. It warned him to ``stop or he'll be shot or set on fire,'' said a law enforcement source who the newspaper did not identify. It was not clear whether the source was speaking on condition of anonymity.

Jeter must only date women whose racial mixture is between 25.1% white/74.9% black and 74.9% white/25.1% black. Some allowances may be made for women up to 5% Asian or American Indian, but no more than 5%.< /sarcasm of mass destruction>

The Boston series is gonna be an all out war. My prediction is the Yankees take 2 of 3, and win the AL East. Boston will not make the playoffs, because Cleaveland just refuses to lose.
'Course, if the Yankees can take 3 of 4 from the Birds, the season-ending series with Boston might be academic...

Wait, are you telling me that the suspected letter writer might be black, and with that assumption made, he/she is STILL labeled a racist?

How can a guy who is half white and half black be a traitor to his race? Is he dating a Chinese or Korean woman?
I don't follow baseball, don't know anything about any of the players, but I was watching tv with my husband last night and they were doing a story on Jeter (who seems like a pretty good guy). Anyway, I was surprised a little way into the story to discover his father was black.
Anyway, it appears his parents did an outstanding job raising him, regardless of their color. It's nice to be good people succeed.
