This weekend, students at Brandeis University in Massachusetts are learning the ABCs of political organizing at the new "Campus Camp Wellstone."
Actors at the Great American History Theater in St. Paul are rehearsing "Wellstone," a three-person play based on the life of the late U.S. senator from Minnesota.
Construction workers are pouring sidewalks at the nearly-finished Paul and Sheila Wellstone Center for Community Building in St. Paul.
And today, a month shy of the third anniversary of the couple's death, the Wellstone Memorial and Historic Site will be dedicated in Eveleth, Minn., near the field where the senator's plane crashed, killing all seven aboard.
Nearly three years after his death, Paul Wellstone's legacy shows no sign of diminishing. Two books about the senator were published this month alone. Wellstone Action!, a liberal political training center based in St. Paul, boasts 8,500 alumni across the country and now is adding "advanced placement" classes.
And at least a dozen buildings are named after Wellstone and/or his wife, Sheila, including schools, a housing complex and a battered women's center.

But the truth is brutal. These people are organizing...constantly. There is no "off" season for them.
As your read the article, you'll see that their labors are having an effect - NOW! I see it in Minneapolis in this election season. I'm out there trying to stop it by working on some city council campaigns.
This ought to be a wake-up call for all of us that we have to do some organizing too.
Yeah. His kid's still a jackass.
Q: What would Paul Wellstone be doing right now if was alive?
A: Clawing at his coffin lid.
A stake needs to be driven through his communist ideas.

"These people are organizing...constantly. There is no "off" season for them."
It is so true what you say. It goes beyond Wellstone (may he and those who died with him rest in peace), it is clear in the fight over the "Freedom Center" that the commies seek to put in at the WTC. They never rest, they never sleep. You are right, we need to do the same.
The march of the communists continues, we must counter them at every step.
As a Senator, I respected the position that he held, but once he became a civilian like me, I would fulfill my oath.
If anything, I feel cheated, since I was never able to personally punch this bastard in the nose.
"But the truth is brutal. These people are organizing...constantly. There is no "off" season for them."
Constant ... relentless ... will not stop ... you cannot reason with them ...
I'm reminded of one of Terminator scenes ...

" Listen. Understand. That
Terminator is out there. It
can't be reasoned with, it can't
be bargained with...it doesn't
feel pity of remorse or fear...
and it absolutely will not stop.
Ever. Until you are dead."
will they be showing the wild and crazy party the dem/libs held laughing and talking and high fiving and all of that? Remember all that?
When he won his last election, Wellstone vowed to abide by term limits and not run again ....
I guess God took him seriously.
Exactly.
And we should be doing the same.
But I do understand that the political culture that shapes a Democrat and a Republican are different.
That's what makes it harder for us to organize. Our belief systems are not wired the same way.
Politically and culturally, it endangers us.
yeahhhhh, that's the party I was talking about. Thanks for putting up those photos. look at clintin and sheen. Are they a stupid looking pair of nitwits or not. Everyone was all smiles. Look at clinton with mondale. look at the three dufuses clintin, clintin and jessee and then clintin and mondale. All smiles and party down. Then the s___ hit the fan and the dems LOST SEATS. They weren't laughing then were they. Look at clintin and sheen....which one is the most sickening. Which one thinks he really matters?????
Swell, that's all we need.
Isn't Lenin's legacy enough?
I do remember it.
I was sitting at home, watching the "memorial" service. I was amazed at the laughing and back-slapping that went on prior to the start of the service.
I turned to my mom and said "I realize that people grieve in different ways - but this doesn't strike me as a memorial service at all. It looks like a campaign rally." She nodded Yes.
After the service, the local media here in the Twin Cities seemed caught off-guard by what they had seen as well.
Party before country...
I think not Steve.
Exactly...it was a campaign. I remember the wrestler...what was his name? He walked out he was so disgusted. I think he was Gov at that time. It was awful. The dem/libs clintins and the rest of that ill mannered gang sure learned a lesson OR....did they??????????????
