'We want to start a genuine conversation about repealing this law'

Whenever the left talks about conversation, they really mean a monologue.

"
The group's main concern is that the law will be abused to defend people who shoot in the emotional rage that often accompanies domestic violence, when people are under the influence of alcohol or during incidents of road rage"

Aw crap........I would love to see the rap sheets of the people who do this.

More proof that the anti-gunners are more interested in taking away your right to defend yourself than in making effective policy. Mrs. Brady, Cindy Sheehan, Jane Fonda, the faces of the Left in America.

In other words: "We know best, and you are incapable of deciding when lethal force is warranted. Lets leave it to the trained professionals." Gosh I can't stand liberals.

"An armed society is a polite society."

Lefties should realize that they are surrounded by people with guns wherever in the world they go: cops, soldiers and criminals--and the the sets are not disjoint. They should also realize that for every armed idiot who would misuse a gun, there are fifty armed citizens who would forcefully object to such misbehavior.

Remember when you engage a dimlib in a debate about gun control, whatever he says are his reasons for thinking this way is blatant subterfuge. They won't talk about their real reasons, because they have nothing to do with safety and everything to do with our vulnerability.

Remember that citizens' guns were the first thing the Nazis and the Soviets wanted from their citizens. They cannot take over this country as long as we are armed, and they know that. In order to institute Marxism for all of us gut little proletariats and comrades, first they must collect all the guns.

That is their sole motivation, and don't let them distract you with double-talk.

More recently, the New Orleans Police Department made a pretty good run at it as well.

Why do lefties not openly advertise their anti gun attitude in public? Just wear a badge to "openly" show your support for disarmament. I mean if criminals know that you do not adhere to the laws of physics or the fact that gun powder does not explode in you presence, I am most certainly sure that you will not be harmed.

But as for me I do not have that kind of trust or "faith". Kill those rat bastards before they threaten my family.

The new law ''may lead to the reckless use of guns on the streets of Florida cities,'' the one-page flier reads.

The definative word here is "may"

And the Brady types may be moonbats

The new law ''may lead to the reckless use of guns on the streets of Florida cities,''

That is technically true. It may just do that.

By the same logic, the new law may lead flying monkeys to circle the moon every third night singing "God Bless America" and playing accordions.

It may just do that. And that's just as likely as the Brady Bunch's fantasy scenario.

Clicked on the link and found a wonderful "cell" from the Simpsons (when Homer went 3-D) and nothing else.

Bad link or good joke?

The fliers urge tourists to take precautions, such as: ''Do not argue unnecessarily with local people,'' and ''keep your hands in plain sight'' if you are involved in a traffic accident or a near-miss.

Can't argue with that part.

The political left strains so feverishly to deprive the common man of his intrinsic right to self-defense because it's a twofold win when they succeed: 1) It makes people defenseless against their political agression and 2) It makes people more beholden to that great all mighty god Government, from who all blessings flow. If it doesn't decide to eat you, that is.

Another problem: Most of the younger gun-grabbers have no idea what Marxism is. They've been so thoroughly indoctrinated by the public school systems thay they truly believe what they espouse is for the good of humanity. To them, we are supposed to be living in a "Democracy" rather than the Republic guaranteed by The Constitution. Arguing with them is much like arguing with a Martian... without an interpreter!

What I always like about going to Florida is reciprocity.
It's almost like I'm a Florida resident.

That is a problem, and I don't know how to deal with it, beyond letting them see what happens when the shooting starts.

But it's a fact that countries that allow citizen firearm ownership are virtually immune to attack. Well, unless you're attacked by crazed muzzies dead set on dying for Allah. That is problematic.
