Opponents of the war in Iraq marched Saturday in a clamorous day of protest, song and remembrance of the dead, some showing surprisingly diverse political views even as they spoke with one loud voice in wanting U.S. troops home.
The surging crowd, shouting "Bush out now" and "Peace now," marched in front of the White House and then to the Washington Monument in an 11-hour marathon of dissent.
They were young people with green hair, nuns whose anti-war activism dates to Vietnam, parents mourning their children in uniform lost in Iraq, and uncountable families motivated for the first time to protest.
President Bush himself was out of town, monitoring hurricane recovery efforts from Colorado and Texas. The protesters shouted for his impeachment.
"Bush Lied, Thousands Died," said one sign. "End the Occupation," said another.
Police Chief Charles H. Ramsey, noting that organizers had hoped to draw 100,000 people, said, "I think they probably did

You're right. Sounds like it was a bunch of radical lefties yapping about their individual "causes".

Waiting on Ramsey Clark!
Well, the Jew-hater just got off stage on CSPAN. (I thought this was an Anti-Iraq War Rally? Hmm...)
...The announcer just asked for Barbara to meet her friend at the "Socialist Liberation Tent"...
Alexis Deveaux is reading her poetry, now. "Even the fish will chant, beware of the chickens who come home to roost (?)..."
Gloria la Riva the Leader of the "Cuban 5" Freedom Movement is now celebrating the Atlanta Court's reversal of their sentences because there was too much Anti-Castro bias in Florida where they were sentenced.
MAS Freedom Foundation speaker (Mahdi Bray) is now up, representing the Muslim American Society and Freedom Foundation. Esam Omeish the president of the MAS group is now up.
A woman was on stage a bit ago talking about her meeting with Hugo Chavez in New York City last week and what a rush that was.
Next Arab speaker is from the National Council of Arab Americans (check out the link I've added and look whose book they are promoting!) says he lives in a society of fear, blah, blah,...
I thought this was going to be an Anti-Iraq War Rally but it's just a hodgepodge of extreme leftist groups taking turns at a microphone.

My eyes! My eyes! You should have posted a warning with your MSNBC link. That is a scarey pic that pops up!
100,000? I have yet to see a photo that even looks like 1,000! Farrakhan math tutoring in action.....
The Commie MSM needs to give up on this one. Americans aren't buying the DNC's, "I'm a Republican who voted for Bush" BS anymore.
I just gave it 1/2 a star. The photo of the "Raging Grannies" was too much for me.
We are being hampered in conducting a successful foreign policy, one that will protect our country and the rest of the World from radical Islam. We are being hampered by leftist fools such as these who insist they are right and everyone else is wrong, who insist that they are the only persons in the World with a moral position. I have listened to these fools for forty years now. I sincerely wish they would get wise to the fact that they are not as smart or as moral as they think they are.
FSTV (Flaming Sedition TV/Foreign Subversion TV) is covering another demonstration over by the Washington Monument. This one is called "Operation Ceasefire." Steve Earle, the moonbat entertainer, is performing (and very badly, I might add). The audience seems to be the same motley collection of old hippies, fat ugly white women, angry blacks who don't know what they're angry about, people of indeterminate sexual identification, and college students looking to score drugs that were at the earlier demonstration, the one that petered out due to lack of interest.
Somebody named Amy Goodman (or something like that) was interviewing some fool with an Afro who looks like he just woke up from his 1970's nap. She mentioned a crowd of "hundreds of thousands," but if there were that many I didn't see them in the camera shots. Looks like about the same number as the earlier demonstration.
Wile E. Coyote ordered something from Acme, and as usual it didn't work the way he thought it would.
I would pray that these fools keep using Galloway as a hero. It's like when they were singing the praises of Chairman Mao 35 years ago. They take some idiot who happens to be the enemy of their enemy, and then put them on a pedastal. Then when we knock them off the pedastal, the liberals are exposed.
In other news, that same boy cried wolf again today.
Bin Ladin sends his best to his allies.

That includes Clinton.
It's Saturday afternoon. No one is watching C-Span except Freepers.
Nothing surprisingly diverse about the Anti-America protesters, they all hate America.
Or, I support the troops but oppose the war crapola.
