"I get worried what he might do if left alone in the dark with all those gadgets and zombies and such." You're kidding, right?
We're counting on his coming up with useful things from the Forges of Necessity.
Where else you gonna get stanchions, pulleys, and guides for the buckytube cables and lines?

Are you kidding? Buckytube fibers would cut through that stuff from Walmart like a cheese slicer.

This lovely little guy is getting more and more exposure every day!
'E definatly looks like 'e's been pinin for some time now!
Strangly he seems to be the perfect pic for a wide range of posts regailing the sarcastic nature of the RKBA. ZOT, STFU, Yer post is so stupid I will just set here and gnaw on my foot.....It fits in everywhere!!!
Does the RKBA have a mascot? (other than the flat O'possum with the yellow stripe!)
This guy looks like he has been dipped in hot asphalt more than once!

Buckytubes are so yesterday. I'm working with
borazon and
aggregated carbon nanorod to create structures that make mere fullerene carbon tubes look like elbow sippy straws. You should see the mess this stuff makes of my anvil. An isothermal bulk modulus of
491 GPa makes it harder than natural diamond by a significant percentage.
Don't worry your head about it... the structural design team will be re-working a lot of the older steel supports to the much lighter, yet stronger ANCR and borazon composites. As long as we don't bump into anything denser than we are, we shouldn't have to worry too much about it. It'd help if we had a lot more carbon to play with. We might need to retro-fit some of it in flight if we come across any carbonaceous chondrite bodies between here and Mars.
I'd still be a lot happier if we could generate artificial gravity and come up with a structural integrity field.
