Bad Company - What the Media is Not Telling About the "Anti-War" Gathering
Investor's Buisness Daily ^ | September 24, 2005

Posted on 09/24/2005 6:53:49 AM PDT by new yorker 77

Media have pushed the idea that the demonstration this weekend at the White House was an "anti-war" gathering. What they didn't say was who was behind it.

.....

In fact, ANSWER is a front group for the Stalinist Workers World Party. And any group that qualifies for that epithet in front of its name deserves special scrutiny, since Josef Stalin was responsible for the murder of as many as 25 million human beings.

Well, you might ask, does it really matter? It sure does.

Imagine for a moment it was a different group that sponsored the demonstration — say, a neo-Nazi group. Think The Washington Post and other media would report that? You bet they would.

After all, Adolf Hitler and his thugs were some of the worst mass murderers of all time. We would expect — no, demand — media to report that a demonstration attended by hundreds of middle class moms, concerned fathers and pacifist students was in fact organized by Brownshirts.

So why do communists — particularly those who march under Stalin's flag — get different treatment? And why do thousands of average people feel comfortable marching arm in arm with them?

It's a puzzle. After all, according to the "Black Book of Communism" — a widely cited and respected compendium of communism's crimes in the 20th century — communist regimes murdered as many as 100 million people over the last century.

.... Indeed, all the century's great mass murders — Mao Zedong (65 million), Stalin (25 million), Hitler (21 million), Pol Pot (2 million) — were communists or socialists.

Yet many well-meaning people who marched this weekend perhaps didn't know all this. Or perhaps they don't mind having their cause besmirched by people who aren't really anti-war at all, but anti-America, anti-West, anti-freedom and anti-capitalist.

....

This is not new. This was going on during Vietnam. The SDS, Sen. Owwie Kerry's VVAW, Jane Fondue's Hanoi trip and Tokyo Rose imitation on the radio broad cast into south VN. Anytime there is "PEACE" group and "ANTI-WAR" group "WORKERS RIGHTS" group protest look closely the Wobblies (WWP) has got fingers in it along with the CPUSA. BTW the Wobblies are significant $$contributers to Earth-First.

Seems the stupid from the Vietnam era gave birth to another stupid generation.

Once again, the question of "Nature or Nurture?" rears its ugly head....

Could the offspring of liberals, raised in a conservative home, be conservative? or are we limited to picking up the odd genetic aberration?

Obviously, since some here came to hold conservative beliefs in spite of their ancestors, genetics is not the key...

"And why do thousands of average people feel comfortable marching arm in arm with them? "

Because the MSM tells us that it is alright to align ourselves with communists, socialists, etc. The Human Rights Watch loves everyone who hates Americans and they are given complete credibility by the press. Our "Free Press" is all about belittling American values and standards and treating anyone who doesn't believe as they do as "uneducated and stupid." Yet, somehow, we keep buying their publications - go figure. .

I've seen the NY Times do front page, cuddly, cute human interest stories on things like old folk homes for unrepentent communist old farts.

It's about as cute for some old toothless communist to hang pictures of Lenin and talk of his rally organizing as it is for some old Nazi to wax nostalic on his Kristallnacht good times.

But the trustafarian liberal journalism school graduates that people the NYTs think those scumbags are cuddly and noble.

I find it very telling that these so-called journalists are incapable of telling the full story regarding left-wing groups. If a group has any connection to a conservative group, they never fail to point it out. But if the group has connections to organizations on the other side of the political spectrum, that is one little detail that is rarely mentioned.

At the beginning of the Iraq war, my local newspaper blared the following headline: "NV Students to join in protest against Iraq war". The protest was sponsored by the National Youth and Student Peace Coalition, an organization springing up on college and high school campuses across the country. There was no indication in any of the local reporting of who the organizers of the protest were. Well, it didn't take well honed investigative skills to find out the answer. All it took was a simple visit to the organization's website (as well as to their coalition members'websites) to find out the pertinent details.

So, what organizations made up this “peace” coalition? Well, for starters there was the Young People's Socialist League, sponsored by the Socialist Party USA. Then there was the Young Communist League and the Young Democratic Socialists. Also included was the 180/Movement for Democracy and Education, Students Transforming and Resisting Corporations, Black Radical Congress, the Muslim Students Association of the US & Canada, and an assortment of left leaning environmental, abortion and gay rights organizations.

By visiting the NYSPC’s and coalition member websites, I learned a lot. I learned that the USA is an entirely oppressive and racist nation, not only to the world, but its own people. US foreign policy is responsible for the attack on 9/11, and we need to “understand” the root causes. We should relinquish to the international community our national sovereignty in responding to terrorism. Businesses are evil and oppressive, and capitalism should be defeated and resources redistributed. More money should be spent for welfare and other social programs, abortions should be provided by the government for free, and the spending on the military and our national defense should be sharply decreased.

The National Youth and Student Peace Coalition is not just another youth organization, and its goals go far beyond an idealistic stance of pacifism. There is a definite radical political agenda behind it, and those who involve themselves with the organization should go into it with their eyes open, knowing what they are supporting. But unfortunately this was clearly information that the newspaper and the rest of the local media did not find relevant enough to mention.

Correction. Hitler, of course, was Nazi, not communist. Yet Darwinism, via the German philosophers, along with his occultic leanings, shaped his thinking.

This is a plea to all conservatives to help in the fight to change the language of this battle.
The power of ideas is the munition of civil battles. Words, phrases and semantics are the delivery system by which we strike our enemies.
When allow these vicious bastards to hide behind terms that we ourselves stupidly use, we are losers before the first shot is fired.
Calling these traitors and quislings "peace moms" brings to mind somebody in a movie maybe "Frances" where the "lone mom" knows better than the "evil government guys with sunglasses and ear pieces" This "peace mom" wants us dead. She is a vicious, stop at nothing traitor and must labeled as one. Using the phrase "useful idiot" is cute and I'll bet it makes the person who calls them that feel real good. Nevertheless, Goober from Andy's Mayberry was a "useful idiot". He seemed to be and actually was harmless. These bastards aren't harmless. They wish us dead. "Useful idiot" says that they are NOT the real enemy but only the real enemy's surrogate. BULL SHIT!!!!!! These people are the real enemy in the flesh, first hand, not middleman.
We started to win the abortion debate when we became Pro-life instead of just anti abortion.
Please join this effort and from this point on refuse to play their game. No more hiding behind cutesy pet names.

I agree. The nature argument is the ultimate moonbat panacea.

It shifts blame for behaviour onto an accident of genetics, permits racist condescension as well as delusions of superiority, and absolves both parents and offspring of blame for the outcome.

Why does Big Media avoid describing commie protesters as they really are? The answer is simple. Big Media is overpopulated with incompetent, leftist hacks who sympathize with the goals of the nutjob raving lefties screeching on tv. Our media lost whatever integrity it had many years ago.

It's pretty well known that these aiti-war (read anti-American)rallies are orchestrated by the various communist groups and their fellow-travelers in the media.

The media's major role is to make a rally of 2000 look like 2,000,000. This is done in several ways.

Shots of other large crowds are spliced into the presentation. Cameras focus in on the speaker's podium where the crowd is thicker. Different camera angles are used to make a small crowd look like a large mob.

Media narators exaggerate the size of the crowd and headline writers use the number of expected attendees hoped for by the promoters rather than the actual number that shows up.

Many of those who swell the crowd haven't a clue what it's all about and are there for the party.

A better estimate, can be found by asking the park police and city workers who have to provide porta-potties, and clean up the trash, beer bottles, and other garbage and debris left by the mob.

Uh huh. They attack the capitalist running dogs at the same time they live in a country that gives them the freedom to hate it. The irony of it all is completely lost on them.
