This article needs some balance . . .
The CG saved my butt last year. We lost the engine while trolling, ten miles out on Lake Michigan. The swells at the time were 4'-5', which is pretty rough for the Big Pond.
After towing me back to the harbor and helping me tie off the CG crew never even boarded my vessel. The skipper and his crew were polite, courteous and highly professional. All told, it took up at least four hours of their time. It didn't cost me a dime.
The vessel owners in this article strike me as loud mouthed primadonnas out looking for trouble. My guess is they found what they were looking for.
