Last night at midnight I though I might leave in the early hours of Friday morning. Now that it seems to have moved the other side of Galveston Bay, I'm 80% sure that my son and I are staying. Better 50-60 miles on the west than 100 on the east.
I do have a question though. I have three quarts of red beens and rice cooked. A large pot of cut up roast, carrots, potatoes, rice, and red bell pepper. Another roast is in the crock pot and a whole boneless chicken stuffed with etouffee is in the oven. The question is do I add chow chow to the chicken salad that already has chopped black olives, walnuts and celery knowing my son will not eat it if I do?

In a word - NO. Keep yourself a little bowl of chow-chow separate.

I'm sort of with HC on this one . . . doesn't seem like there's as much to worry about, now that she's turning east and we won't catch the dirty side.
So I'm 90% sure we're staying. DG, the invitation stands!
BTW, just got back from five - yes, five - grocery stores. Have $150 in canned food, but NO bread. So the PB&J will go on Wheat Thins!

Sure! Go ahead. It's not like you are requiring him to starve. Be at peace.

M-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m-m ~ Sounds yummy! If traffic was flowing south I'd be thinkjing seriously about heading your way!! I've roasted 2 chickens and am doing a big chicken salad, too, (with pecans instead of walnuts though) but I don't have any boneless chicken stuffed with etouffee in the oven and that sounds heavenly!!

The question is do I add chow chow to the chicken salad that already has chopped black olives, walnuts and celery knowing my son will not eat it if I do? Is it the mustard chicken salad or the mayonaisse chicken salad?
