Well...there were earthquake swarms in Cochella Valley a few weeks ago..now we have numerous earthquakes north of LA. We in SoCal get kinda uneasy when when the quakes become more than one or two in a short time and are over a 3.0 in the Richter scale.

Prediction:

No matter where the storm hits, if NO floods again because of rain...it will be the central story on the MSM.

That's why, IMHO, I think if the storm has to hit somewhere, the least amount of consequence would be a hit on NO. (we're already going to have to rebuild that city, but if the storm hits Houston, for instance, we'll have two major cities to rebuild.)

Already destroyed city. Infrastructure already down. NG already on duty. Levees will probably leak anyway, even if they just get rain, and if that happens I guarantee you the MSM will be reporting on the plight of NO, not on the plight of Texas, just like they neglected MS and AL victims.

Nothing against NO, just the facts.

When I am ready to set up the Min-Pin cam you will come to my home, set it up and show me how to use it.

Take that lesson boy!

In exchange for one of your steaks? You bet!

South of Bakersfield, a 4.9. Also Carson City NV had one yesterday (a 4.2). Pretty minor.

I never cease to be amazed how it's always folks who don't live anywhere near hurricanes who get into technical minutiae contests, then get snarky. Why is that?

I can predict with 98% certainty the comments that come from Michigan, Wisconsin, Kansas, NJ, and Maryland...

Curious as to how simply pointing out facts is bad behavior...

Guess you missed some of those Katrina threads! LOL. People with facts were getting zotted like flies.

I love it too. Many's the time I'm too late for a Fedex overnight drop--leaving me DOOMED.

But still it's okay, UPS gives me an extra 90 minutes to drop for overnight delivery.

For me, the ad is ironic.

Understandable. We in NorCal get similarly uneasy, but compared to Rita, it seems kinda minro.

But, they didn't have all the vanity plates that we have today. What do you do without any numbers on your license plate?

Well, those vain people will just have to sit home and die! ;^)
