all this really means is that they provide health benefits for 'life-partners' and have a sizable population of homosexuals employed. It doesn't mean that these companies are pushing any agenda.
Boycotting a company that treats it's employees decently without the threat of union strikes is just plain silly and ignorant.

No need to be silly and ignorant about silliness and ignorance...

IBM, Chevron, AT&T, and Dow Chemical were among the most hated corporations in the 60's/70's, symbolizing unbridled greed, exploitation and war-profiteering.

How did these pariahs of the left resurrect their public image? Easy, they simply caved in to the demands of the radical left. Instant redemption.

For me it come down to the basic fact that I hate the sin not the sinner. I can only pray for them to change and ask God's forgiveness. Amen

Very depressing.

These people are subversives working aginst reason, logic, decency, and traditional western values. They present the increasingly ugly politically correct face of western big buisness - internationalist, pro-sodomist, anti-western traditional values, anti-American, and anti-Second Amendment.

In no previous society, no matter how otherwise degenerate or sodomist-ridden, were marriages beween people of the same sex even considered. Think about that. Even in Ancient Rome, Spartan Greece, or Ottoman Turkey, where homosexual relationships were tolerated to some degree or other, was this kind of filthy relationship legitimized by the state.

You are right on target.

I am posting a long explanation of exactly why...

In-group/out-group competition dynamics are not taught in public or private schools. So, we get the benign comments about this vital issue as seen above.

The answer to moron Rodney King's query..."Why can't we just all get along?" is that we all belong to competing groups. These groups struggle for supremacy every day of every year. It is low intensity warfare. But it is (mostly economic) warfare.

The groups overlap between gender, sex, age, region, language etc. A single individual may be part of many distinct groups. But this overlapping doesn't mean the competition doesn't exist. On some borderlines it is fierce.

In-group strategy is probably the most ancient form of human competition. All it takes is a group consciousness which can then leveraged to benefit the members of the group at the expense of those outside the group. The in-group can even be formed on a random qualification, say, people born in a certain month of the year. All that is necessary for success is in-group consciousness.

Homosexuals practice intense in-group behavior. They will discriminate against heterosexuals when allowed. They will construct hetero glass ceilings. While white flight is a common term, hetero flight is not discussed though straights abandon entire corporations, businesses, organizations when a certain critical mass is reached.

In-groups such as homosexuals have been "bashed" throughout history as a response to the threat of competition. Competition for status, resources and power. And power ultimately means who puts whom in jail and for what behavior.

The legal systems in most western countries are being hijacked by this in-group. It is deadly serious stuff. First come the speech codes, then the fines, then the jail sentences for out-group members. It is a raw power grab.

Woe to any out-group which allows an in-group free reign. This is the harsh reality of human affairs. It is the core realization of all stable societies. If you are a heterosexual offering benign affirmations of homosexual "rights" you are drinking truly poisonous koolaid.

Very, very good. The tactics of our enenmies are working for them. One does not need to open an artery to bleed to death, a steady drop-by-drop loss will eventually do the job.

It is a good thing that the bastion of conservatism, big capital, is on our side. Liberals rant that it is, while "conservatives" think that it is.

I however and not fighting all things homosexual. You can be extreme on either side and I think this post is an example.

"If the company makes a good product I will buy it."

Here's my view on that line. If a company is being run by the zampolits, the company's product quality is going to suffer, due to misplaced priorities. Why do I call it misplaced priorities? The companies' first responsibility is to their shareholders. Now granted, some of the companies have gotten on the diverthity bandwagon to avoid lawsuits, thus reducing corporate liability. That may work - in the short term. But that is just the beginning. Later the zampolits take over running the company. Nothing gets done without the approval of the diverthity zampolits and their political agenda. That is what has happened at AT&T. As a result, AT&T's product quality and customer support is in the toilet (no pun intended). AT&T, once a technology leader, is going to die.

A society of weak families will ask the state to care for its elderly and its sick.

That is the absurdity of libertarianism that I never understood. They think there was some golden age of rugged individualism when people looked out for themselves. There never was. There was a traditional, religious society of 5+ child families that cared for their elderly and their sick and raised their children. Now, we have an individualist society of 2 child families and a 2 child family flatly cannot do the work of caring for their elderly and sick (why do I keep saying elderly ? What's wrong with old ?). To eliminate middle class welfare you have to restore a traditional, religious culture of large families first.

"Some thoughtless parents burden their offspring with such awful names."

How true! Back when I was in High School in Central Texas, I knew two lovely sisters whose first names were Swiss and Cheddar (their dad worked for Bluebell Ice Cream).

That's an easy one. When the quality decreases, buy somewhere else. The amazing market system works pretty well. If homosexuals ruin a company then it will show in the product or service.

If your goal is to fight any thing homosexuals get from their employers, then include me out.

With large homosexual parades every year in cities large and small, where some are clad in next to nothing, with numerous large corporations welcoming gays, there isn't nearly as much "cruelty and prejudice" as you think. Isn't it more cruel to encourage a lifestyle that is fraught with death and disease by its very nature? Isn't it more cruel to wish your children on an E ticket ride straight to hell? The homosexual lifestyle is cruelty in itself.
