Thanks for posting.
DragonWare contained three parts:
Carnivore - A Windows NT/2000-based system that captures the information
Packeteer - No official information released, but presumably an application for reassembling packets into cohesive messages or Web pages
Coolminer - No official information released, but presumably an application for extrapolating and analyzing data found in the messages
As you can see, officials never released much information about the DragonWare Suite, nothing about Packeteer and Coolminer and very little detailed information about Carnivore. But we do know that Carnivore was basically a packet sniffer, a technology that is quite common and has been around for a while.
Echelon - This is a secret network rumored to be under development by the National Security Agency (NSA), supposedly designed to detect and capture packets crossing international borders that contain certain keywords, such as "bomb" or "assassination." There is no solid evidence to support the existence of Echelon. Many people confused this rumored system with the Carnivore system
I believe that there are National Security interests involved
with this Able Danger story that should prevent the details
from becoming public. We shouldn't want all of our surveillance
capabilities exposed on the floor of Congress. All that needs to
be said is, Clinton fiddled while OBL and his minions planned
for us to burn. Anything beyond that will just give airtime to
Leftist and Islamist Moon-bats and possibly giveaway to many
hints of our virtual battle plans.
If the NSA has Super Computer Sniffers butt-spliced to every
OC-192 pipe I don't want to give that information to every
enemy, foreign and domestic, that has free and clear access to
the Capitol Dome.
CSPAN CSPAN
I am listening to Michael Savage right now...Sen Curt Wheldon said that 2.5 Terrabytes of info was ordered destroyed in 1999 about A Quaida, that is 1/4 of the Library of Congress and it is going to be the biggest scandal ever. The Pentagon is doing everything they can to keep this out of the press. I post the Savage on this site but it was removed? The 9/11 commission knew of the 2.5 terrabytes that were destroyed and did nothing. I am livid and outraged and feel like I live in N Korea.

According to schedule, CSPAN at 11:59PM EST tonight.
A lot of people on this site do not like Savage. However, Savage has been on this story from the get go. Rush did not even mention the hearings today. Neither did Laura Ingraham. I guess some posters are so blind to what is going on, they cannot see the truth.

Tha Aussies allready confirmed it's existence.
I know I pretty much speak for at least a few other when I say...
I dont give a crap how they found the information...I care about what the information IS...
We're talking potentially treasonous acts here man...We're told straight up that it was a lack of coherant intelligence...
Well that appears to be a bold faced lie...doesnt it...
Meaning it might very well have been the un-intended consequence of a political decision made out of self preservation...
Which also means that under the correct set of circumstances....it could happen again...
And not for lack of coherant inteligence...
When this story finally comes around - I hope that the names o f the schmucks who ran Adm. Poindexter out of the NSA and away from the data mining projects he was working on are duly noted. Political correctness in the Senate and elsewhere killed what would have been good efforts. I'm just hoping the DOD kept working on them in spite of Sen Boxer, et. al.
It is important to our national security that no one know that Bill Clinton personally knew of the Able Danger findings and that he personally ordered the destruction of all records. What would people think if they knew this?
data aquisition is the simple part to the point of data overload that brought about analysis paralysis...
it was the
STARLIGHT - Visual Information System http://starlight.pnl.gov/
and the
SPIRE - Visual TEST Analysis http://www.pnl.gov/infoviz/spire.pdf
that are the revolution and the heart of AbleDanger.
This web site only has the transcripts of each witness' opening statement right? Or am I missing the transcripts when each witness was questioned?
No, it's not North Korea. It is the political arena of the U.S and it stinks whether Republicans or Democrats are involved. There are very few (Curt Weldon) who actually step up and call a spada a spade. The majority are out to protect the intersanctum from public viewing. They are a disgraceful lot.
Yes, only opening statements since they were put in the "record". Looking for complete transcripts of questions. See:

For posting of other site links to Able Danger
Thanks, as qtmonster.com is my blog. I have recorded part of a questioning session of the hearing today from C-SPAN3, but I missed the beginning. I have most of the Dugan questioning. I intend to transcribe this on my blog, hopefully tomorrow.
